"Luella Blakeslee was last seen alive on July 4, 1969. A graduate of Pembroke Academy and the University of New Hampshire, she was a 29-year-old school teacher at Derryfield School, a private school in Manchester NH, and lived in Hooksett NH at the time of her disappearance. Her remains were found on May 9, 1998, in Hopkinton NH. She was a world traveler. The medical examiner ruled her death as "homicidal violence of an undetermined type."
When Luella's remains were identified, the Attorney General's Office issued a press release noting that at the time of her disappearance, suspicion focused on one of her acquaintances, Robert George Breest, who was subsequently convicted of first-degree murder for the New Hampshire death of Susan Randall. The Attorney General's Office noted that Breest remains a suspect in Luella's death. Breest has been eligible for release since July 16, 1995, but was still incarcerated for Randall's murder as of September 7, 2015."

''The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office has named Breest a suspect in the case.
Breest, who is now in his 70s, was convicted in the 1971 murder of Susan Randall. He is still in prison, but has been fighting to have his conviction overturned in recent years because of recent DNA testing.''
