RIP dear Lindsay.

Does anyone know why only one or two of the stories are printing that only her legs were found? Most of the stories make it sound like they found more remains than that.

I'm not sure exactly why they wouldn't report it. I suppose it could be that the details came out later so they just went with what they had.

My guess is they left it out on purpose though, either since the family wasn't telling news the details so they went with their wishes, or just because it was 'too much' info for tv news show?

From one article (that has no specific mention of what was found) there is enough info there that I think the news already knew the remains were her legs. It has quotes about 'partial remains', no facial characteristics or fingerprints to go on, etc. Seems to me like they just didn't want to say the details.

All that was found on I-55, 15 miles south of Springfield, was her legs.

Two area teens out on ATVs found one leg, the next day ISP and cadaver dogs discovered the 2nd leg. The leg bearing the tattoo was severed through the tattoo. The picture of the tattoo appeared in local appears hoping for an id.

This thread states that her legs were found 3 years ago. I was wondering and thought maybe someone else reading would wonder as well. Only recently identified. Probably took so long because she was so far away from where she disappeared.

The reason it took so long was because it took the Henderson police that long to have a lab extract DNA from Lindsay's toothbrush and then upload it into the system.(Henderson’s crime lab is minuscule, and they have no way of doing DNA tests.)


The Illinois State police had done DNA testing and placed it in the system 3 years ago but they did not get a match. They had very little to go on, Lindsay had a tattoo on he thigh but her legs had been severed at the point of the tattoo, in such a way that it could not be used to help identify her.

What that tells me is she knew her killer and he was trying his level best to hid her remains and make sure if they were found she could not be identified.

BTW the last known sighting for Lindsay was on the 4th, she was not reported missing till the 7th. Lindsay’s cell was used on the 5th and early in the morning of the 6th (about 1:20AM I believe) but we only know it was used, not who used it. We only have Barron's word that it was in fact Lindsay using it to contact him.

I frequently drive that route and have a daughter living on her own close to there. I never even heard of this case until I watched AMW tonight that I DVRd last night. This is scary

Another woman that was killed and dismembered and potentially linked in the Las Vegas prostitute murders is Jodi Brewer. There is no WS thread for her. The web has very little info.
But the similarities between Harris, Brewer and others is remarkable.
They all fit a narrow "type". They all were sex workers (undefined, but my guess is Strippers that would provide a little more here and there). 3 of the had the middle name "Marie".
Interestingly Jodi had an "M" tattooed on her back. I'm wondering if this was the astrological symbol for Virgo? And if it was the lower back (most likely). I have a feeling that the perp took time to find these women, probably in a strip club, because little else makes sense. There he could become a regular and become a bit more trusted and eventually ask for a private "show". They all use fake names, so if the name Marie is relevant, he would really have to get to know them pretty well, spending a fair amount of $$ before he could be trusted like that.

This genius states that Lindsay's body was found in the desert outside LV. Her body was actually found in Illinois, so I'm going to discount the connection he's trying to make.
