Identified! NY - Manhattan, 'Midtown Jane Doe', WhtFem 16-21, 337UFNY, under concrete, ring w/ 'P McG', Feb'03 Patricia McGlone

I thought she died after 1988?
From Post #4 of this thread:
"Midtown Jane Doe"
From the Doe Network---
The victim was discovered on February 10, 2003 in Manhattan,
New York City, New York
She was a victim of homicide by strangulation
Skeletal Remains
The time of death occured sometime after 1988 (down the same post) The remains of a plastic bag later discovered to have held rat poison was also found near the body. The rat poison was not manufactured before 1979. A plastic toy soldier was also found near the body.
Seems like that was wrong too along with the isotopes claiming that Patricia was from the Midwest.

I'm so happy that we finally know who P McG is - Patricia McGlone. Before she was identified I thought this girl's name is likely Patricia or Pamela. And I wasn't surprised either that Patricia died much more earlier than predicted. I refused to believe the estimated date of death as after 1988.

Isotope analysis takes another L, so very off here. Patricia was from Brooklyn which is only 45 minutes away from Manhattan according to Google Maps.

It's depressing that she was buried underneath concrete for 34 years and unidentified for another 21 years. At least that mystery is over. And now another one begins - who murdered Patricia? I hope this one gets solved much faster.

Actually we concluded much earlier in this thread that she was killed likely in the 1960s since the lurex fabric, the coin and the clothing label were from the 1960s. Everything else was put there later

I'm so thrilled and amazed to see that she's been identified! It's too bad she doesn't have any family left. Was the 9-11 victim her last relative?

Yeah, I think quite a few of us agreed late 1960s, possibly while the club was still operating since the shiny clothing seemed like the kind of thing a person would wear to a club.

“She was hogtied with electrical cord and the remains that were found were exactly how she was, she was in the fetal position," the cold case detective said.''
“She was Catholic and she lived in Sunset Park," he added. "She was baptized, she received communion and ultimately had confirmation. She went to public school and she went to Catholic school. She went to Charles Dewey Middle School in Sunset Park.”

''Believed to have been murdered in 1969, the location where McGlone's body was found was once home to a bar that launched rock stars.

“Jimmy Hendrix, a lot of other bands,” Glas explained. "During the mid 60s to late 60s, that basement was a nightclub, rock and roll club.”

They believe she had a child whom the toy soldier belonged to. That means she must have gotten pregnant really early at 13 or 14 - a baby wont play with toy soldiers. I hope we will know more. Also, how did she disappear and what lifestyle did she lead since her teeth had no recent care? I looked at them and contrary to what the NamUs says, i did not find them in too bad condition, just she had a visible rotten tooth that anybody with access to dental care would have fixed right away. So she obviously had not seen a dentist in at least a year or more. Since teeth take a while to rot so far.

I'm so glad Patricia has been identified. Have there been any photos of her released?

Edit: This would be a starting point to finding a middle school photo of her. Though middle school yearbooks are less common to find uploaded than high school ones: "She went to Charles Dewey Middle School in Sunset Park"

The news clip posted earlier today also contains very clear shots of her birth certificate, baptismal and confirmation certificates, and parents' marriage certificate. I clicked around in Ancestry using that information but have not come up with much. There are no yearbooks posted for her middle school on Classmates.

Following up to this, if you search her name on Classmates you'll find a profile set up by NYPD with some more information on what schools she went to, her address, and a class photo from her middle school that she is presumably present in, but it's not clear where.

That's a mystery, but wow, how terrific is that, that Patricia is now known? That's pretty awesome. It will be interesting to know when she died. I know there's the 1968/69 dime, and the items discovered with her look to be that era, so that lined up. But was it exactly 1969? Could it maybe have been a year or two, some time later than '69 nonetheless? They estimated her age 16-21, so I'd kind of view it with the window of 1969-1975 or so. I'm wondering how a 16 year old could be at that club, I'm seeing the owner pretty strictly controlled admission, and it was a pretty exclusive type of place, Hendrix and Pink Floyd played there, really huge acts. Yes, I know minors can get into these clubs in some cases, but she'd have to be a pretty mature looking 16, I would think. From what I can see on one source, there were complications for that place at the end of its run and there were a lot of fights in there, and the liquor licenses and so forth were in jeopardy. Hell's Kitchen was always a little rough, but I think in this timeframe, I'm seeing sources noting organized crime presence.

Still wondering if this case will tie in somehow with the Tribeca 2008 Jane Doe RH's in kindergarten in 1969, so no RH factor here. We'd think of other parties that use concrete to conceal their homicides. I'm pretty sure I saw on a source somewhere that the basement for this building was easily accessible from the outside. Source: "...the basement could be reached from several points inside, as well as through a steel trap door in an adjacent parking lot that was unlocked" That would open up a lot of possibilities. How long was it like that, though, on the access? Since 1969 forward?

Like a miracle we know who she is. RIP Patricia.

Doesn't this sound more like an SK than organized crime? I think one article I viewed is mentioning Rifkin, and he did at some points use concrete. I know very little about organized crime & how it operates, but I know some people know a tremendous amount about it.

If date of death is 1969, I wonder if Patricia went to Woodstock.

So, so horrible, and so unbearably sad.

Another theory is that she got pregnant early, dropped out of school and had the wrong circle of friends. She eventually hung out at nightclubs until she resorted to dancing/escort. Had an abusive boyfriend/pimp who eventually killed her. She was buried in the basement of this club, which means whoever killed and buried her had regular access and local kmowledge to the basement and also enough authority and time to pour concrete there.

Unless of course the basement was part of the whole building including residential units. But even then, you need to be the owner or at least caretaker to pour concrete. I couldnt do it in my rental unnoticed.

Does not give me SK vibes unless a type of killer like Muldavin who killed his significant others within a longer timespan and had different modi of operating each time. Not Muldavin, of course, but someone who lived in th building, owned it or took care of it.

If it is true that she had a child at 14, then she likely dropped out long before graduation and that would explain the lack of school photos.

Hmm, just noting, couldn't have been Rifkin, either, he's too young. He'd have been 10 yo in '69. I've seen Richard Cottingham killed someone in '67, I believe, but this doesn't seem to be along his lines with the concrete. That would definitely be the stomping grounds of Cottingham, though. I still get the SK vibe with the way the victim was bound and the use of concrete, but totally agreed that it could definitely be the angry boyfriend or pimp. Whoever he was, he'd be very comfortable and competent, though, in terms of murder, by the looks of it.

So, there are no relatives longer alive, yet she had a child when she was a child herself. Ugh, I have a gut feeling the 9/11 relative was her child, who would’ve been in their thirties in 2001.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It hasn't yet been stated as a fact that she had a child. They believe she had a child, but as far as we’ve been told at this point their belief is predicated only on the toy soldier they found with her remains. That toy might have been there for any number of reasons.

Edited for typo

Could it have been a cousin? Maybe she only had like two or three and they all died before the past few years somehow.

Toy soldier could've been from a young cousin at the time.

I don't think there would be a way to prove conclusively whether skeletal remains encased in concrete for decades had given birth in life or not. I could be wrong.
