I blew the pictures up a bit and they could also be halogen security lights designed to illuminate the yard at night. If someone drives past the house at night and reports back, we will know for sure. Not sure about LI, but that many lights on a house around my parts means you are expecting unwanted guests....

I have driven past the house at night. It is VERY well lit. Next chance I get I will cruise by and pay more attention to see if those are cameras.

could be why it was left in the drawer---to be picked up or sent back to employer????

The thing is, RM was at work. If he was laid off or fired, in my opinion, the employer would have asked for the phone back while he was at work, not let him have the phone for the weekend, when the phone was not working. That's just odd to me, unless they called him on the phone and said you are now laid off, or now fired, and bring the phone back at your convenience.
And who is to say he was laid off or fired. It was mentioned that that could have happened, but was that just a theory? Maybe he was supposed to go back to work on Monday?
IMOO.

Everything at this point is just a theory IMO . Including him leaving on his own...which by the way if he was doing, he left phone so that his employer got it back instead of having it reported stolen.... JMOO

If you want to disappear your not going to take a phone u can be traced with. You won't take your wallet with your real identification nor drive your car. This man left everything that identifies him in dix hills.
He has to have new I'd and new phone. Imo.

If he has a new phone, who would be the likely person he would contact? Or do you think the new phone is for his "new life", and the past is the past?
IMOO.

Nope I think he's staying connected with his past. I'm thinking this was all planned. Jmo

Right, so as long as the people he was talking to on his new phone weren't being traced as well, then all would be ok?
I understand that if he wanted a new life he would have to give up his old life, but would he give up all ties to his old life? Even family members?
This case just doesn't add up to me with the information that is known.
IMOO.

Could be a reason why it was unusable??? All guessing on my part Tree---IIRC RM had only calls from IM that Friday. To my thoughts-as habit he had the phone on him and forgot to leave it. Or employer terminated service and did not expect the phone to be returned. Purely Cawfee Thoughts----
and a question---any labels or markings on the phone?? like a "property of..." label?????? A union sticker--have we seen the tv commercials--I want an orange t-shirt too!!

Basically others, but not his wife?

I'd say "Yes" if they had words, were "done" with each other and if someone didn't want their words to be twisted "in a court of law" by the other person.
Maybe one feared the phone call would be recorded and used against him/her. :twocents:

And if they were "done" with each other, then IM KNOWS why he is missing....
