CLEVELAND, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Convicted sex offender Anthony Sowell, accused in Cleveland of being a serial killer, fell into a low-risk category for offending again, a report indicates.

Sowell had served 15 years in prison for attempted rape. The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer said Friday the report stated only six of 100 offenders with criminal histories similar to Sowell's would commit another sex crime within five years of being released.

The report, prepared for Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court in 2005, said Sowell, 50, revealed he went to strip clubs, looked at pornographic magazines and watched pornographic videos. He estimated he had sex with more than 50 women.

Boggles the mind. He had the woman living there with him for years? That house isn't even all that big, and the yard isn't all that big. How did no one notice?

Concentric, the EXACT same thing happened to me, 10 years ago. I didn't go to police, not because of what I feared they would think of me, but because I was trying really hard to forget it had happened.

This is off-topic and I apologize. I was just shocked at how closely your story mirrored mine.

Once a month??? If he dumped many of his victims, it makes me think his victims could number in the 20s or 30s...

Also note that the article said Sowell was once married for 4 years, and possibly fathered a child... interesting.

Regarding the mayor's niece, I bet she survived only because she was the mayor's niece. If she were to have become missing someone would have noticed and perhaps would have made a connection to him sooner.

Speculation/IMO only: I'm beginning to think Sowell was much more calculating than what I initially thought. The fact that he didn't kill every woman who crossed his path, indicates that he could control his impulses somewhat to further his ends. In other words, he may have let one or two go so that he could stay on the killing path longer. Also, the fact that he was married and lived for a while with the mayor's niece seems to suggest that it wasn't his inability to get a woman that caused him to kill. Perhaps he killed just for the sport of it?

There is a good point made by "maggie1954" as a comment to this article. I don't know much about the military, and how often one gets to visit home during a stint, but perhaps women who were missing in Cleveland during his time in the military shouldn't be ruled out as possible victims...

I found a MS for a Tyesheia aged 24 from Cleveland and I found a FB for a Tyesheia Freeman but can't access her wall to determine her age or where she is from, but they look like the same person. I also think they are the same person because the rare spelling of the first names match. The Tyesheia I found doesn't appear to be missing as her last log in on MS is 11/5/09 and there are no comments on her page to suggest she is missing.

I, also, searched Tyesheia Freeman on veromi.com and whitepages.com. Her address in on Page Ave. Is Page Avenue in 2nd District? This is the same district the Tyesheia Freeman listed previously is missing from. Also, I believe the Tyesheia I found on MS has the last name of Freeman because on her MS account one of her friends is a Nicola Freeman and Nicola also shows up on veromi as a possible relative of the Tyesheia Freeman I found there. On MS her age is listed as 24, on veromi it's 22. Veromi can sometimes be inaccurate when applying an age to a person.

I've been trying to find a map of Cleveland by district but have been unable to, thus far. Is Page Ave in 2nd district? If so, I don't think the Tyesheia Freeman listed is a missing person. Possibly she was reported as missing in the past but has since been located? Or I have the wrong Tyesheia, altogether.

I'm beginning to question the accuracy of this latest list of missing. Unless Cleveland has a lot of people with the same exact name. I find that hard to believe considering the uniqueness of a lot of these name but I suppose it is possible. According to their MS accounts and last log-ins, the Tyesheia F., Aileen G., Kristen A. and Roneisha T. I found are all from Cleveland and by all indications NOT missing.

The MS Heather Shaw I located is in Wisconsin. So I don't feel this MS account is a match. Noted that Heather Shaw is a less unique name.

I noticed Michelle Mason is absent from the latest list of missing.

Tarnesha Chester does not appear to be missing anymore, as she has pics up from prom 09 with what appears to be her family in them.

I personally dont think Sowel preyed on young girls. His victims seem to be middle aged african american women who used drugs and alcohol.

I too question this list, but remember a lot of inner city women are not reported missing by the news....you do the math.

"A bag, a big bag stuffed and wrapped with duct tape and there was a very bad smell coming out of it," said Tayeh.

Tayeh said he remembers seeing bags in the garbage bin two years ago after his clerk alerted him.

"I saw the bag and I can't stand the smell of it, so I shut the Dumpster. I told him to get a bottle of bleach and put it in the Dumpster," said Tayeh.

Tayeh said he called police two days ago with the information but no one has called him back.

Good news! Thanks, ylime. It's good to see that she appears to be safe and with her family. One less lost soul, one less worried family.

However, I would like to say that I don't think Sowell preyed on a specific age group. I think he preyed on vulnerability and those that were easily accessible. While those identified thus far are indeed adults, it doesn't mean that a curious or troubled teenage girl didn't wander into his neighborhood and his trap. Sad to say and I wish it wasn't so, but sometimes, even young girls can fall victim to the street lifestyle of drugs, alcohol and prostitution.
