Circumstances of Recovery An unidentified John Doe washed up on the shore of the Ohio River near Mt St. Wellsville, Ohio. Based upon an autopsy performed by the Cayuhoga County Medical Examiners Office, the deceased individual is an African American or biracial male, in their 30s or 40s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 189 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The person was wearing the following upon discovery: black pants, blue underwear, and a red and black watch on the left wrist.

An unidentified male who washed up dead on the shore of the Ohio River in Wellsville last year was finally laid to rest this week at the Columbiana County Cemetery off of County Home Road. ..... His fingerprints have been sent through local and federal databases and they also have his DNA, but “nothing has matched. We have no idea who he is.”.... He was described as an African-American male weighing 189 pounds and 69 inches tall (5 feet 9 inches).
