Karen Harmon went missing on May 29, 1982 from the Highway 26 area near the Timber/Vernonia junction, and was reported missing by her husband the next day. The couple and their two young children were living in Timber, OR in an old church at the time.

That Jane Doe was identified as Wanda Herr autumn 2020, so def not Karen.

@KenHarmon I see that your family has shown an interest in this case not just here but in Facebook as well, including at least one of Karen's children. It would be great if some of you could become verified insiders on this case. This forum would give your cousins a place to more permanently provide any information they may have including about their father who I see died in 2018.

Living in an old church, it most likely had an old cemetery nearby, which seems to me like a prime location to bury a body. If I were investigating the first thing I would do is locate that old cemetery (presuming it exists) and thoroughly rake it.

Her mother Irene Elizabeth Pflaum died in June 2004 in Victoria, TX. Karen had one sister and three brothers, she is listed as deceased.
