ROSEBURG, Ore. -- More than eight months after he disappeared, the mother of Kyron Horman launched a new effort in the community of Roseburg, where Kyron’s stepmother Terri Moulton- Horman is believed to be living with her parents.

“Our mission here today is really simple," said Desiree Young. "We love Kyron, and we want him home.”

Young and her family spent Saturday passing out flyers and posting signs which read. “Ask Terri Moulton-Horman where he is!”

ROSEBURG, Ore. - It was a statement she never wanted to make, and she's still not completely sure. But for the first time since her son vanished more than eight months ago, Desiree Young conceded that Kyron Horman is probably dead.

That's what Kyron's mother told KOBI-TV's Larry Miller Saturday, as she pressed her campaign to pressure Kyron's step-mother into cooperating with police.

Desiree and Tony are in Roseburg handing out fliers and talking to people about Terri.

This sounds like something I would do if I were in her shoes!

“We are putting the pressure on Terri,” Young told KGW. “We are bringing it to her. She needs to know we will not rest until Kyron is brought home.”

Young, her husband Tony and members of their family were handing out new fliers highlighting Kyron.

Young urged people who see Moulton-Horman to ask her about Kyron.<snipped>

MEDFORD -- Sitting on a comfy sofa in her living room, Desiree Young clicks through an album on a laptop. Her eyes glow at a photo of her son as an infant splashing in the bath. Then she giggles at another shot, remembering how they made peanut butter cookies together and let Ernie, their yellow lab, lick the spoon.
