OR - PRESIDENTIAL PARDON - Militia members occupy federal building in Oregon after protest #4

On Tuesday, W. Joseph Astarita, 41 years old, will stand trial in U.S. District Court in Portland, Ore., on charges of making false statements and obstruction of justice related to the 2016 fatal shooting of Robert LaVoy Finicum.

Mr. Finicum had served as a spokesman for Ammon Bundy, the leader of an armed occupation in 2016 of a national wildlife refuge in Oregon. Mr. Finicum was shot and killed after attempting to evade police and federal agents trying to arrest him and others for occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

Despite the ban, without permission or notification to BLM, Steven Hammond started several “back fires” in an attempt save the ranch’s winter feed. The fires burned onto public land and were seen by BLM firefighters camped nearby. The firefighters took steps to ensure their safety and reported the arsons.

Cushman argues that federal officials pursued the stiffer sentences for the Hammonds "because they want to force them to sell. The whole thing is about the refuge, and the BLM and the Fish and Wildlife Service have been after this ranch for years," said the activist, who has known the Hammond family for decades.

"It's taken them 20 years to figure out how to get the Hammonds. But they're doing it now," he added.

Its getting hostile here re this and our nightly riots. Lowest covid numbers but yet we are still shut down. Kids are still doing online school unless they have a special education IEP and our Gov still mandates masks everywhere.

Testimony begins in Bundy trespass trial in Boise

In August 2020, Ammon Bundy was arrested twice over a two-day period at the Idaho State Capitol after leading a large group of maskless protesters who were protesting the Idaho stay-at-home order and related Idaho COVID-19 legislation.

He was first arrested on August 25, 2020, and charged with criminal trespass for actively disrupting legislative hearings and refusing to leave the building when directed to do so by the Speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives.

Bundy was also charged with resisting arrest. He was arrested again on August 26, 2020, for criminal trespass and resisting arrest after returning to the Idaho State Capitol Building shortly after posting bail for the first offense.

An Ada County prosecutor on Monday told a seven-person jury that Ammon Bundy, agubernatorial candidate in Idaho and far-right activist, disrespected authority when he entered the Idaho Capitol in April. It was about four months before his ban from the building would have expired.

Bundy appeared in Ada County Magistrate Court on Monday for trial, his second in nine months, for three misdemeanors.

In April 2021, Bundy was arrested twice in one day for entering the Idaho Capitol while under a one-year ban from the building after he was arrested in August 2020 for refusing to leave the Lincoln Auditorium at the Capitol during a special session. He was charged with two counts of trespassing, his second offense within five years, and resisting or obstructing officers’ arrests and seizures.

In July, a jury found Bundy guilty of misdemeanor trespassing and resisting or obstructing officers related to the Lincoln Auditorium arrest. He was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and $1,089 in fines.

Bundy was arrested again on suspicion of trespassing on Saturday after he failed to leave the property in relation to a child welfare case. An arraignment has yet to be set, according to online records.

Yeah, a FB friend who is a Bundy believer posted a youtube of Bundy's, calling out his minions to come to the hospital to protest the baby health situation.

As per JerseyGirl's link, Bundy, running for governor of course, waits for situations and then inserts himself as some kind of anti-government hero. What a yutz.
