http://wnep.com/2016/08/15/state-police-body-of-missing-man-not-buried-under-former-inn/CONYNGHAM TOWNSHIP -- Turns out, a man who had been missing for nearly 50 years in Luzerne County was not buried in the basement of an old inn in the Shickshinny area.
In June, a high-tech radar team scanned the basement of the old Rinehimer Inn and Tavern by Lily Lake.
They were looking for the body of Benjamin Krupinski, who was last seen alive there in 1968.
The radar team indicated the possibility of a body under the slab in the basement of the former inn.
State police reported Monday morning that a dig in the basement failed to turn up a body. A cadaver dog was also part of the search.
Authorities thought Krupinski might have been killed and buried there because his cane was found on a closet shelf when the new owner of the building was cleaning the place out.
