Eugene Bartlebaugh

Description:
Bartlebaugh was last seen in Scranton, Pennsylvania on June 9 1976. He was with his wife at Bob's Auto Center, his place of employment, at 516 South Sixth Street when he was approached by a man named Angelo Berrios. Berrios asked to speak with Bartlebaugh for a moment and the two left in a car. Bartlebaugh has never been heard from again.
His wife reported that he owed Berrios $300.00 and that Berrios was carrying a pistol at the time. Authorities tracked Berrios down and he stated he had not seen Bartlebaugh "for a few weeks".
As the investigation continued, police received a conflicting report that Bartlebaugh was picked up around Green Ridge Street and North Main Avenue after having car trouble on the day of his disappearance. His whereabouts remain unknown.
