Welcome to WS and thank you for the thoughts and support. Yes it is so true! And maddening. And the emotion the family and detective (Sergeant Michael Slaughter) displayed in that Dateline episode was just heart-wrenching IMO. The Sergeant should be commended for his work IMO. And thank goodness that her family and children pushed as effectively and efficiently and hard as they did.I saw this story also. Seems like we're seeing more and more of law enforcement not doing their job on these old cases. Why isn't someone investigating why LE looked the other way? Same as the Dobbs case in Idaho where LE forced a wrong confession and forced a
witness to lie. Nothing is done which tells LE they can do it and even if they get caught nothing happens to them. Same with OJ's case he walked because of poor LE investigation. JMO
And all other police investigators declined to speak on the case, and several have since died IIRC. IMO the case history and record still should be fully investigated. The cover up is often worse than the crime…… (and I not trying to minimize a murder in any respect)! Thx!
