This is an interesting MP case. I've only had a chance to do a quick read on the MSM reports, but apparently Boyce was ill from bronchitis and a double ear infection. He had seen a doctor but was having a bad reaction to the medication he was given. When his mother called EMS, he ran into the woods near his home, wearing a t-shirt, blue jogging pants, and socks, but no shoes.

We don't know much about Boyce, but on the surface his running away before EMS arrived seems odd, especially wearing the clothing mentioned and no shoes. Why would he not want medical attention, especially if he was having a reaction, a skin rash of some kind, to the original medication? Strange...

If Boyce was dealing with bronchitis, as well as no shoes, I doubt he could travel very far from home before he needed assistance.

PICKENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office continues to look for a man who has been missing for almost four months.

Investigators said they searched hundreds of acres on Thursday for Boyce Morris Jr, who was last seen on February 13th.

Captain Chuck James with the sheriff’s office said there aren’t many outstanding missing persons cases in the county. Now they’re working with family to put this case to rest.

“Our concerns are to account for his well-being. You know we searched that area today and there was no evidence that he was found,” Captain James said.

Details of Disappearance

Morris was last seen at his home on Reece Mill Road in Pickens, South Carolina at 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2022. He had recently been treated for an infection and had been released into his mother's care, but still felt unwell; relatives stated he appeared to be delirious and "talking out of his head."

Morris's mother called emergency medical services to the residence that evening, but Morris didn't want to go with them and before they arrived, he left the home and went into the woods without his cellular phone, wallet or shoes. He has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.

It was 50 degrees F when he walked into the woods in just his socks, and by midnight the temperature had dropped to 31 degrees F (with no wind or precipitation). At that temperature, hypothermia would haver started to set in within 25-30 minutes (BTW, most cases of hypothermia occur in air temperatures of 30 to 50 degrees. But people can succumb to overexposure even at 60 or 70 degrees).

So, how far into the woods could he have gotten in that time? Anyone capable of marking out a search area based on this information on a map of the location (with the assumption that he was walking, and probably at a brisk pace since he was agitated)?

He's most likely going to still be in those woods - so, I think organized grid search with enough people, probably over a period of several weekends, would find him.
