Even if verdict was reached, it takes time to get everyone involved down to courthouse- especially during rush hour.#jodiarias @jbarrycbs5

I going to throw this out there:

Most of the "players" probably live 30-45 minutes away, if not more. You REALLY don't want to live in Downtown Phoenix, most of its businesses and it's close to homeless areas. Some could live as far as Anthem or Carefree/Cavecreek maybe Apache Junction. Then add the traffic. Mass transit still isn't a big thing, almost everyone has their own vehicle.

Interesting names

Nope, no one can hear the verdict til it's presented before the Judge in Court.

Been checking in, worked out, grocery store, now making dinner . Just read that jury left so no verdict. Sam is upset? Is that TA's sister ? Those dear people, this has to be a tremendous strain for them :(
Read a post earlier where the tweeter claimed the two blonde female jurors looked pizzed? I wonder if that's accurate, and if so what it's about. This was earlier when they took a break.

O/T. Gas prices going up~so the elected people in m state think now is the perfect time to add additional gas tax. :(

Now they are going to add commercial flights at Payne field in Everett~~we fought this 20 years ago!! Dang it. Not happy

Oh Darn...

Okay then - see you all tomorrow!

Phoenix and outlying cities:

phx1.jpg

Maricopa County is 9224 square miles.
Phoenix, the city, is 517 square miles (also the most populous State Capital in the United States, and 6th most populous city)

Many of your professionals are going to live in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Anthem (below New River), Apache Junction, Chandler, Gold Canyon, San Tan Valley, Fountain hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, Ahwatukee (south of South Mountain), Sun Lakes (south of Chandler), Mesa, and even Queen Creek (I mention that because Det. Flores' son was in the Queen Creek Boy Scouts, LDS usually join the Scout Group in their general Ward area). These are all cities OUTSIDE the the Phoenix city boundaries.

Being on any of the "loops" or interstates can easily give you a 45 minute to 1 hour drive in "rush hour traffic". It's even worse if you take the "surface roads".
To get on one of these "roads from the Court House, you have get to Black Canyon Highway (I-17N/S), Maricopa Freeway (I-17E/W), Papago Freeway (I-10E/W) or Papago Freeway (I-10 N/S), any one of which can easily be 20 minutes or more on surface streets. Then there's the Loop 101 which is on the outside of the area on the West, North, and East sides. All involve taking surface streets to get to an "on ramp".

Seriously, I couldn't deal with the traffic down there by 1989, and I was in Scottsdale, but our landscaping job took us everywhere. In the 90's I was running transports and we had to have our tractor trailers with oversized/wide loads off the freeways by 8:30 in the morning, got back on at 10:30am, off by 4:30pm and back on at 6:30pm because of rush hour, grid lock whatever.

I'd take driving behind a stock trailer any day, than be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

Work consumed my whole day and I am now checking in. Glad I did not miss the verdict. Tomorrow is another possible verdict day. Missed you folks today. Darn work.

Done for the day, laterz, kids! :seeya:
