okay... I'm chuckling here! :giggle: Just got a call and before I answer I always look to "see" who it is - anyway - it said "Technical Help" - so I KNEW it had to be someone from "Microsoft" - you know, to help you with your computer! So I answered the phone "Good morning, Microsoft, how may I help you?" and they hung up... :silly:

Oh - I had my one year checkup on my right hip! All is going great! The Doctor asked (this is before the operation) what I wanted to do after the surgery - I told him I wanted to "skip" again! So walking up to his office, I did a little skipping :skip: :skip: and now my left hip hurts!! LOL! Shouldn't have done that! But I CAN skip, and I told the Doctor that!

See you all later! :seeya:

Thanks all you kids for the birthday wishes!!!!! :heartbeat:

Don's brother called me to wish me a Happy B-day. He is one of those people who are really special to me. He knows he's dying and we have always been able to put our cards on the table, and I cherish the time we have spent together.
He's had an incredible run, grabbed life by the balls, and didn't let anything stop him. He's going to leave this existence on his terms, on his time schedule, and I support him.
His siblings don't understand that. They've actually kinda made it hell for him the last 8 months, "You need to see this doctor, you need to go to this specialist, go to this clinic, check out this treatment......" He's tired. He has more bad days than good, and the good days he does have, he just wants to spend it peacefully, by himself, tinkering around the house and yard, or with his wife. She is AWESOME. She may be deaf, but get on her bad side and there's hell to pay! She still rides her Harley and can tear apart an engine like the best mechanics, and loves her grandkids like no tomorrow.
He's promised me at least one more call before he takes his "dirt nap". Like I said, we put our cards on the table, lol! And then I cried for 20 minutes after we finished our conversation........

Say what you need to say to your loved ones today, don't wait for that funeral and regret you didn't have that last moment, that last hug, that last "I love you".

Thanks! And it did open up......what an awesome tree tent!!!! I wish I had a huge tree to put one in!!!!!
I'm going to put up my Mayan hammock down by the pond today, tied between 2 willows. I don't know if I'll attempt to lie in it, the winds been kicking up every day for the last week, and I can easily see myself getting twisted up like a burrito,LOL!

There was ICE on the horse troughs, again, this morning.........gah! May 10, last freeze date, YAY!!!!

Oh no, I could have offered you the tree tent but how can I send you a tree? :(

Well, I have an idea: why not plant a tree today? It'll grow up together with the little foal you so much wish to have... And in 30 years you'll sit in your tree tent eating burritos and watching your horse having fun...

No, I remember them, I just wasn't WEARING them, lol! I was born in 1961, so I got to see or experience so may incredible, and slightly weird, fads, inventions, human accomplishments, major world changes, wars that had no justification, the end of segregation as those before me were brought up in to a man of color being president, civil rights, women's rights, gay rights, a man on the moon, the legalization of marijuana gathering momentum, the end of the Berlin Wall, PC's, microwaves, cell phones, the first heart transplant, artificial limbs that duplicate the actions of real limbs, gas shortages (I was stuck in a line in Cali when that went on!), 911, the 2nd stock market crash, National tragedies, World tragedies, cloning, test tube babies, AIDS................it's been an incredible life so far, so many, many things that have happened.

Wonder what the next 50 years have in store for me?

So young and already so wise????

Happy Birthday Bernina! I am 4 years and one week older than you, and you get more done in a day than I ever will. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to Dmacky's DH as well. Hope you both get to celebrate in fine form.

BBM Wasn't that the 80's?

I use to cut them out of my clothes.
I still have sweaters with shoulder pads in them. Helps for that "power" look when you are petite!

Bernina, have I ever told you how I really think of you? You, my dear and wonderful friend, are wise, beautiful inside and out, and have the kindest most cherished of insights into the souls of others. I love how you are able to express the important (and not so) things in life with such candor and humor. I love how you don't let life's bumps get you down for too long. My list can go on and on.......... but to me............ you are one heck of a wonderful lady and I will gladly adopt you as my younger sister. Never let go of that spunky spirit, my buccaneer sweetpea!!!

Happy birthday Bernina!

And please everyone, remember prayers for me too. My back muscles have been in spasms for two days. It's scary to be alone. DaisyMae, I'm sure praying for you. Wish we could all help you. I even have extra bedroom but couldn't walk to help you. I'm so sorry. :(

prayers coming your way...Bless You

You were reading my thoughts. Thank you, Spellbound!

Are we discussing the motion to strike juror 17? Watched it last night and Juan was on to her. He made a lot of good points but as usual JSS folds like a box. I also noticed Nurmi announcing the split....How did he know? Makes me think something fishy was going on (as usual) Also they fought hard to keep this juror even tho if the verdict did not go in their favor this would be something to overturn the penalty verdict. Just for that alone she should've been excused but as usual we were let down by the weakness that is JSS. I tried looking thru this thread to see if anyone spoke about this but its hard to find the trial related posts so forgive me if we did.

Happy Birthday Bernina!!

Happy Birthday to coffeejunkie's DH!

Mikee Daniels has a new video on youtube. Its called Jodis inflated ego of herself. Hes funny as usual.

We are expecting bad weather later today and evening...severe storms, hail, high winds, possible tornados. Cold front moving in.

Our water heater is going out, time buy a new one. Bummer!

Today my DH turned 66. The kids will be here this evening (weather permitting) for a little get together. I had to buy decorations for his birthday. Great granddaughter said that I must get her Pop 'Ninja Turtles Party Fun'... 'cause he is a boy, not a girl!! That child is a hot mess ;) The things we do for our grandkids :)

Have a good day!

We think ours is going out too. We've gone and looked at the "types" there are today. There is the tankless ,that may or may not be worth the savings etc;, then one called a sandwich/ or was it a cookie? that is a combination of that and the old fashion water heater that comes in three styles. Home Depot only carries Rhem, and Lowes carries Whirpool, and they're not kept in stock. Sears carries more brands and model, and you can get it right then. They prices are high compared to the other choices, but if you need it that day you need it.

YESorNO, the 1970s were just a fashion tragedy, what can I say? Polyester everything, incredibly clunky shoes, really bad hair. But I still play disco music on my Walkman (shows how old school I am...I walk into the gym with my CD in my Walkman in my horrendous black fanny pack; everyone finds me quaint...lol).

Do you remember the Units store? They had a top, bottom ,skirt that was all interchangeable. They had a "waistband" could you could twist and tie. My niece tried one wear one as a skirt and her mama told her nope and then wrapped the pipes with them before a freeze.

Also, remember the women romper that looked like a baby one? Down to their feet, bow tie in the back, and fancy collars?

When DD was in preschool, one day the head teacher comes in and announces to the class, "I'm a little hoarse today". A little boy responded, "I'm a little cow!". LOL!!!!!
