I agree with everything you say except that the fund was designed to collect money. It would hardly bring in anything beyond a few thousand at most, and DM is not short of cash.

The fund serves another purpose, perhaps an oblique threat.

I agree. Strikes me as someone who takes great satisfaction and pride in pulling one over on someone, seeing what he can get away with, feeling superior because in his mind he's so clever and people are so gullible. IMO.

I have been able to find records for her parents through ancestry. Her father was Joseph Henry Joel (he passed away in 1958), her mother was Catherine Joel. She (EG) and her brother (SG) lived with her grandparents and her parents Ethel Rosalie (Joel) Glass and John Glass in Harrow, England shortly before they came to live in Canada.

I have not been able to find any death records for EG.

Thank you! Her mom and/or stepdad -- are their 'deaths' (assuming they have passed away) shown on the website? I am just curious if the site updates .... or do relatives have to submit the info ? Does the 50 yr rule apply for death notices ?Canada does not allow vital statistics (death) to appear until 50 yrs has elapsed - please correct me if I am wrong about this.

So as some of us have commented, some of the language in EG's obituary seems very awkwardly written, almost as if it were written by someone whose native language was not English.........(eg: "growing-up achievements", "cancer operation")

I find the same sort of thing in WM's Obit:

"What few words could make comment here" (WTH, this doesn't even make sense?)

"He saw a future for mankind where we do not pollute our environment or subjugate animal lives to our industry. (bolded part doesn't even make sense to me??)

I sense that DM had such an air or arrogance that he thought he was some Pulitzer Prize winning writer, so much so that he tried too hard to sound so well written...or I don't even know what the term is, not sure how to describe it.

The bolded part means that we should not make animals beasts of burden, but let them be free. I think you may be trying to say that he is trying to sound erudite but only succeeds in coming across as pompous

I have only been able to verify her Grandfather's death because of his will probate. He left everything he had to his wife, Catherine. That document included his year of death.

It is not listed as December 1951 in ancestry. (I'm sorry if I've created confusion.) To be very clear, this is exactly what is listed there:

The date of registration for her birth is Oct-Nov-Dec 1951. Not surprising if she was born on September 30th. Her birth was probably registered in October.

His date of death would have been on or before November 29, 2012.

This is 5 Maple Gate Court, Etobicoke, ON listed in the obit as the address for donations to the EG Animal Welfare Foundation. It is also noted by MSM as being the address for DM...

5 Maple Gate Court is NOT the address I was referring too. There was a question asked regarding an address elsewhere in SW Ontario registered to a Wayne Millard. This person is not the same one this thread is about for the reasons I stated - a) he's not dead and b) he is a life time local.

My comments regarding the Elizabeth Glass Animal Welfare Fund were simply to state that it is not a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency. I am aware that the address is the same as the address for the home of WM and DM.

I have been unsuccessful in trying to find the actual birthday..it's in the threads somewhere but I seem to recall Nov and he was 70 when he died.

Thank you for posting that link! I think I read somewhere on WS a few days ago that WM had actually been shot in the left side of his head. That is a shocking photo of DM on the gaming site.

Matou - We don't have an exact date. Sometime between late November and December 15th when DM posted the obituary. That's all I've been able to find so far.
