• ''Thomerson was last seen at her residence in the vicinity of the 400 block of Keen Road in Portland, Tennessee on February 14, 2003. She lived with her husband; they owned a now-defunct restaurant called The Iron Skillet.
  
  Her husband went to to pick her up that night and she wasn't there, and the door was locked. He initially wasn't concerned, as Thomerson had a history of dropping out of sight. After days passed without her contacting any of her loved ones, they reported her missing.
  
  A friend of Thomerson's reported seeing her leaving the restaurant on the night of her disappearance and getting into a champagne-colored truck with a man. The driver reportedly dropped her off at a motel on Dickerson Road in Nashville, Tennessee. She has never been heard from again. Her case remains unsolved''.

Woman’s cold case haunts Sumner County investigators 15 years later

It’s a cold case that’s haunted Sumner County investigators for more than a decade – a wife and mother missing for more than 15 years.
“In the back of your mind, you’re always wondering, ‘Where did she go?’” said William Thomerson.
Every year is a painful reminder of the last time William saw his then-wife, 42-year-old Brandee Thomerson, a mother of four.
“Everybody loved her,” he said. “She was fun to be around.”

The couple owned The Iron Skillet Restaurant in Portland, Tennessee.
In March 2003, William went to pick her up one night, but she wasn’t there.
“The door was locked,” he recalled.
He said he thought nothing of it at first.
William said Brandee disappeared all the time, as she struggled with drugs and alcohol.
She also had bipolar disorder.
“Just an addictive personality, her behavior she couldn’t control,” William explained.

But after being gone for days, her family reported her missing.
Investigators still have no new leads.
“When you don’t have answers, it’s as disheartening for me as it is for the family members,” said Detective Eddie Cripps with Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.
Cripps said a friend told detectives Brandee left with a man after getting off work at the restaurant and got into a champagne-colored truck.
The driver of that truck dropped Brandee off at a motel on Dickerson Road in Nashville, according to Cripps.
“Different motels were searched, rooms were searched,” Cripps said.
No one has seen her since and a year later, the case went cold.
“It’s frustrating because we want to find out what happened,” Cripps said.
And so does William who, at first, said he was treated like a suspect.
“I would get visits and phone calls and polygraph tests,” he recalled. “You walk in, people look at you; they’re whispering, pointing.”
William said he doesn’t think Brandee is still alive, but he’s holding on to the hope that someone will have information to crack the case.
“An anonymous phone call, a text, anything would be helpful,” he said.

It’s been more than two decades after a mother of four disappeared, and Sumner County investigators are desperate to learn more.

''At the time of her disappearance, the couple owned a restaurant in Portland, Tennessee, about 45 minutes north of downtown on the Tennessee and Kentucky border. William went to pick Brandee up one nigh; the doors were locked and Brandee was nowhere to be found.

Two decades-old cold cases out of Robertson County remain unsolved
“She was supposed to be back at work that her husband owned and just never showed back up,” Craddock said.

Then, a lead in the case would bring law enforcement to Davidson County.


Craddock explained Brandee was last seen getting into a champagne-colored vehicle with tinted windows. Detectives located the owner of the car and learned that Brandee had been taken to the Dickerson Road area in Nashville, where she was dropped off at an area motel.

“The statement is that she was dropped off at an area hotel in the Dickerson Road area and then vanished into thin air. She has not been seen or heard from since,” said Craddock. “Every lead that we followed ended up in a dead end. There was nothing else that we could find to do to attempt to find her.”
