Deputy United States Marshals, at the request of the MNPD, this evening arrested Blaise A. Taylor, 27, in Utah on a Nashville grand jury indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree murder for the poisoning deaths of his girlfriend and her five-month-old fetus which Taylor is alleged to have fathered.

According to the 911 dispatch on Feb. 25, 2023, Taylor said that Benning seemed to be having an allergic reaction. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died on March 6, 2023, her 25th birthday; the unborn child died on Feb. 27, 2023. Taylor was a scout for the Tennessee Titans at the time and spent the 2023 season as an analyst at Utah State.

He is the son of Texas A&M running backs coach and coaching veteran Trooper Taylor.

Such a double sadness for this family.
It probably will be a tuff time when Jade's birthday comes around again -- it is usually a loving time to fondly remember the birthdays of family members, even if they have passed on. Now her family will not have quite that same feeling when her birthday comes around again. And the unborn child's birthday will have to be remembered as what could have been. SMH.
So glad Taylor has been charged and is in jail and is in Big Trouble.

Police said months of investigation, led by homicide detective Adam Reese, and involving scientists from the crime lab and doctors from the Medical Examiner’s Office, led to Wednesday’s murder indictment against Taylor.

will be interesting to read what poison was used and how detectives were able to figure out how it was introduced to Jade and tie it to Blaise.

This article says cocaine

"Benning’s autopsy says she was poisoned with cocaine. It also says she was having dinner with Taylor and another friend. After the friend left, she called her saying her legs were numb and she was vomiting."

"Metro Nashville Police Department said she was poisoned to death at a Lebanon Pike townhouse. They said her boyfriend, Blaise Taylor, called 911 Feb. 25, 2023, saying she was having an allergic reaction. "

Which causes me to have a ton of additional questions.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A former Tennessee Titans scout — who's accused in the deaths of his girlfriend and their unborn child posted — made a $2.5 million bond and was released Friday from the Davidson County Jail in Nashville.

The judge did set the bond at $2.5 million bond, likely thinking there was no way Taylor could make it and would remain locked up while awaiting trial. How? I’m told someone came forward to pay several bonding companies.

Together, those companies agree to cover the full bond if Taylor runs and fails to show up for court.
In return the person who came forward will pay typically 10% — or in this case $250,000.

That money is not refundable and will be split by the bonding companies. So, someone paid in the area of a quarter million dollars to get Taylor out of jail.

Just now finding this. At least he showed up in court.
I wonder if his bonding out has strings attached from the judge -- such as staying in town/county, or wearing an ankle cuff, etc.
He's got some heavy charges against him -- hoping he will attend whenever the court calls for him to be there.
