A video camera captured Alan White leaving an LA Fitness on Haskell in Dallas at 5:38 a.m. He had gone there to work out.

Friends say that is the last time anyone saw or heard from him.

“And he was expected on a work call at 7 or 7:30 Thursday morning, so when he did not show up for that everybody instantly assumed that something had gone wrong,” friend Matt Davies said.

Davies was one of many people who spent the weekend searching Dallas for White's vehicle. He was driving a black Porsche Macan loaner while his car was being serviced.

The family hired a private investigator and Dallas police are also looking into Alan White's disappearance. The family is also working to obtain a court order to attempt to locate his cell phone.

“Finding the car was a big plus, a major plus,” White’s brother Tim said. “They were going to start processing once they had the proper paperwork to do it.”

Alan was captured on video checking in to the LA Fitness on Haskell Avenue around 5 a.m. Oct. 22. He left roughly 40 minutes later.

“We know that someone out there knows something about him, and we just want him home safe and sound,” White added. “If someone has taken him or has done something with him physically, and he’s no longer around, we’ll have to deal with that, but we just want to find him.”

Dallas police spokeswoman Melinda Gutierrez said the car was found in southeast Oak Cliff, in the area of Bonnie View Road and Simpson Stuart Road.

She said there’s a “want to locate” report for White on file. Such reports are filed when relatives want to get in touch with someone they have had trouble contacting.

No other information about White’s disappearance or how his car was found was available, Gutierrez said.

Surveillance Video Shows KPMG Executive Moments Before He Vanished

[...]

White's brother Tim White said they've been told the SUV was found Wednesday night in south Dallas but that there wasn't any sign of him.

"From Wednesday, almost a week, where's it been? Where did it go? Where is he?" asked Tim White.

Tim said the family has no reason to believe his brother willingly disappeared.

The morning of his disappearance, he said White missed a conference call scheduled for 7 a.m. On his desk, he left behind a to-do list of items to tackle that day. He and his husband had also purchased tickets for a flight to visit White's mother next month.

"Somebody's got him. Either someone's carjacked him or someone has been watching for awhile. Someone's picked an opportune moment. Or wrong place, wrong time," said Tim White.

Family Releases New Surveillance Video Of Missing Dallas Man Alan White, Reward Increased

[...]

Surveillance video released by the family on Thursday comes from the morning of Oct. 22 at around 6 a.m. at a RaceTrac at 2506 Inwood Road. The video appears to show White wearing a red tank top and putting gas into his vehicle.

Tim White said Alan went into the RaceTrac store and then went back to the vehicle. Tim White then said his brother drove away in the direction he’d need to go to get home.

[...]

Alan's brother Tim from the video:

"This just shows that he did make it to the gas station and we don't think– that's not one he typically goes to, so that's what's kind of odd, but there's nothing out of the ordinary."

"So he did go into the store, walk around for 15 seconds or so, went back out, unlocked the car, and got in."
