that last one - Motion requesting mod (modification??) of GPS conditions - ?? wonder what that is about?

I clipped it a bit short. His attorney had previously requested a modification of Gallegos’ ankle bracelet which was denied. I bet the newer motion was to remove it during trial or something similar.

Whatever it was it hasn’t been ruled on yet. And I don’t know why the docket hasn’t been updated. Sigh, I guess we just keep checking.

No, and it’s left me scratching my head. The court site still lists a trial for 10/23, no updates.

Nothing I could find in msm either. A continuance was granted on 10/18. So… is there a plea deal in progress? Is a trial happening that msm is missing? Did I miss something in the news?

Frustrating.

Yes, very frustrating. I hate court sites that do no update & have no info on what is going on...

I shall try again next week sometime - and THANKS for trying to find something! :)

per the article - it says trial starts next week -nope! No trial date set - he has a hearing to do just that on May 2nd per my notes.
 
Thursday, May 2nd
*Trial Date Setting Hearing (@ am CT) – TX – Cecilia Huerta Gallegos (30) (missing July 7, 2019, reported missing July 8, 2019 by husband, San Antonio, not found) - *Reyes Huerta Gallegos (36/now 38) arrest & charged (8/24/21) & indicted (11/16/21) & arraigned (11/19/21) with murder (by manner & means unknown to the grand jury). $250K bond lowered (1/14/22) to $200K. Bonded out of jail (1/26/22) @ $150K, on full house arrest/GPS monitoring.
Previous charges: 1/13/20: Assault with bodily injury was dismissed as a material witness was missing. Plead guilty to filing a false police report & was sentenced to 6 months on the false report, but it only shows a credit for time served of 132 days - just over 4 months.
Trial was set to begin on 12/8/22 was continued to 3/30/22 but was continued with no further dates.

7/10/23 Update: Next trial date setting hearing on 10/23/23. Prosecutors have offered Gallegos a plea deal in hopes of avoiding a trial, but if he doesn't accept the deal then they will go to trial. 10/2/23 Update: Motion requesting modification of GPS conditions. The attorney had previously requested a modification of Gallegos' ankle bracelet which was denied. Motion has not been ruled on yet. 10/17/23 Update: Continuance motion filed-granted. Trial cancelled on 10/23/23.
10/23/23 Update: on 11/15/23 Attorney notice email for hearing setting on 5/2/24.
