I think the photos are fine, If I was looking around and found my pic because someone thought I might be someone else and was trying to find out....I think it is a good thing but maybe putting this in the PL might be a bit better......

It is called sleuthing....

it's not ok when it's someones child (IMO) Sleuthing or not I don't want my child's photo's taken off my site or my myspace and put else where. I understand Sleuthing I enjoy doing it myself but I try to walk the line when it comes to someones's child.

Jenna was outside of her home at 5:30 p.m. when she entered a gray 2-door Dodge or Plymouth driven by a white male, age 20-22 years, with brown hair, traveling west on Garrison. She has Asian features, a small scar on her right eyebrow, and freckles on her left cheek. She was last seen wearing black and green spandex pants, a shirt with a tree design, and white sneakers.

After doing some research, I am shocked to find the following cases in TX., around the time of Amber's abduction/murder.

Tasha Wright-Missing since '89-Dallas, Tx. -10 yrs.old.....Last seen walking to a friends house.

Jenna Robbins-Missing since '89-Killeen, Tx.-9 yrs. old...Last seen walking with a friend-offered ride from white male, 20's...she accepted, friend refused.

Kimberly Norwood-Missing since '89-Hallsville, Tx.-12 yrs. old...Last seen walking home.

Angelica Gandara-Missing since '89-Temple, Tx.-12 yrs. old...Last seen in a white pick-up with unknown white male & female.

Amber Hagerman-Missing since '96-Arlington, Tx.-9 yrs. old....Last seen in parking lot being shoved into black pick-up by male.

All abductions in '89 (except Ambers)..all around the same age as Amber...all walking except Angelica (& Amber) and she may have accepted a ride. We also have a string of toddler cases, in TX. in the '80's-early 90's that fit a pattern IMO.

Ara Johnson-Missing since '86-Big Sandy, Tx.- 5 yrs. old...Last seen in her bedroom asleep.

Pam Mayfield-Missing since '85-Houston, Tx.-5 yrs. old...Last seen walking home from school with her brother Michael after school.

Megan Garner-Missing since '91-Tyler, Tx.-3 yrs. old....Last seen at a playground near her home.

Amber Crum-Missing since '83-Dallas, Tx.-2 yrs. old....Last seen in truck outside of convenient store.

Desiree Carroll-Missing since '83- Kosse, Tx.-2 yrs. old......Last seen near her home.


BBM-IMO- of course, these are only females...trying to find a pattern or MO of a perp. here.

I posted this on another thread and wanted to post here as well. Very intriguing and disturbing the similarities in these cases.

Details of Disappearance
Jenna was last seen playing with a six-year-old friend outside of her family's residence on North 4th Street in Killeen, Texas on May 14, 1989. Her mother went to the store and invited her daughter to come with her, but Jenna wanted to stay home and play with her friend.

Her friend later told authorities that a new-looking light gray or silver two-door Dodge or Plymouth sedan stopped near Jenna's home at approximately 5:30 p.m. The male driver enticed Jenna into his car, saying he would buy a gift for her. The man tried to convince Jenna's friend to get into the car as well, but she became frightened and ran away.

The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Garrison Avenue in Killeen. Its driver is described as Caucasian, between 20 and 22 years old in 1989, with brown hair slicked back. Jenna has never been seen again.

After her disappearance, another child told police someone had tried to lure her into his vehicle two days before Jenna's abduction. The child described her abductor and he resembled the man who took Jenna. The child gave police her statement before the description of Jenna's abductor had been publicized. It has not been established that Jenna's abductor was the same person who allegedly attempted to kidnap the other girl, however.

Jenna resided with her mother at the time of her disappearance; her parents are divorced. Her father is not considered to be a suspect in her case. Her abductor has never been identified and her case remains unsolved.

It's very sad, because I can also imagine the overwhelming relief, but probably also some guilt, that the other girl's parents must feel... Two children were playing together. The man apparently loved them both. One got scared and ran away and the other got straight into the car and was never seen again. They must have lost some sleep also thinking about how close they came to losing their own daughter....
I hope the moment of your departure was not painful...
