It is now six years since Claudia Lawrence disappeared without trace in York. Despite the intensive efforts of the police, the resolve of her heart-broken family and saturated media coverage, her sudden disappearance remains a mystery.

North Yorkshire Police's commitment and determination to solve the case and bring closure for Claudia's loved-ones, is undiminished by the passage of time.

Detective Superintendent Dai Malyn, head of the force's enhanced Major Crime Unit, is leading a comprehensive review of the original investigation.

This has been supported by national experts from other forces and agencies, including forensic specialists who recently completed a re-examination of Claudia's home on Heworth Road in York.

As a result of this work, Det Supt Malyn and his team have identified new lines of enquiry and fresh public appeals to pursue, as well as renewed appeals on previous key items of interest to the investigation.

Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Mason, Head of Crime for North Yorkshire Police, said: "The decision to focus and prioritise the efforts of the enhanced Major Crime Unit on this case and undertake a comprehensive review of the original investigation, is producing progressive results which we expect to continue over time."

I’ve been wondering for some time now why on earth the heavy weights that are SC and JK ( in this case ) do not come here and contribute on her case ?
But the thicko in me just realised is that they would be amongst equals in here and they would not be able to bully us and threaten to expel us if we do not agree with anything they say.
After all the fb site was their baby and Suzy especially does not want their membership to go down even further if she and others started contributing here .
The anonymity here make people more inclined to reveal confidential info .

How about it Suzzy come and join us but please please keep calm like I’m often told to do okay ?

Oops, sorry Sir, it won’t happen again! Seriously though, If anyone would like me to go round taking photos of interesting places rather than piles of rubble, or checking anything out, I’m happy to. I wish I could turn the clock back 11 years and 2 months, as there isn’t much that can be done now. I’ve been round Hew. a few times in the last few days to get a better sense of the area and understand those cctv shots. But I’d like to something more useful on the field whilst shops and pubs are still shut.

I drove past PH’s house a few times the other day. According to Zoopla, it was bought for 140K in 2009 and its now worth in the region of 500K. They’ve built above the garage and it must be 5 beds now, not 4 as Zoopla says. He and his missus have done very well for themselves indeed at a time when so many pubs have had to close. An intriguing family anyway, with some relatives well-known to law enforcement. If you google ‘blip boy York ‘ you’ll see what I mean. (R.I.P. blip boy)
Yes please is the inside camera still there ? Ie in the house opposite Claudia’s.And would it clearly show cs green door ?

Problem with Suzy joining Pope is that she elaborated the truth and doesn't answer questions that are designed to nail things.IMO Suzy knows more than she ever let's on, may feel embarrassed if some of truth came out and getting her other chick on here (JK) would be like going back to open sewers.

We brought to Cold Case teams attention the flashing amber lights

Their first reaction was that they blandly stated that this had been investigated and that they did not believe this to be important.

We then pushed them and they checked further, they returned to say that upon further investigation it was the Streetlight above the house windows.

Simply put

They are not being honest yet they expect the public to be and if not it is classed as "Perverting the course of justice" which carries quite a long prison sentence.....!!!!!

They could have said:

"We are unable to comment, we are aware. thank you for bringing this to our attention. This information may be important evidence and is being preserved for a possible future prosecution."

@MajorLang I wonder if that’s down to the fact that junior, rather incompetent staff dealt with you maybe. Since they’ve cut down on the operation, their best detectives are probably busy with other case and those left in the cold case team know less than you. Why don’t you write directly to DM? If the cold case team are not doing their job properly, he should know. And, frankly, it’s rather annoying considering that they’re paid by the taxpayer.
