Circumstances of Disappearance
McAdam never returned to her Lochside Road home in Dumfries after a night out with a friend from Annan on February 19, 1967. The two had accepted a lift home from a trucker following a trip to Glasgow. She was last seen being driven off towards Dumfries after the driver dropped off her friend in Annan. She has never been seen since and her whereabouts remain unknown.
In March 2006, investigators traveled to the Grampian region of Scotland where they arrested and charged a 70-year-old man in her disappearance.
