Please help find a photo of Marlene and more info.

As per Utah LE gov cold case site there are hm quite different information there on her.

She is listed as 28 year old compared to 32 year old as per Namus and date of her missing is September 3, 1986 rather then June 24, 1986 as per Namus. September 3 could be date though when her missing person report was only filed and she could be indeed missing since June. Oh, she is also listed there to be slightly taller (5’6) then in Namus (5’4) . So little information are out there on her and already all conflicting.

Marlene Puchuskie - Missing since September 3, 1986

28 yoa – Missing since 9/3/86 WF 5’6/110# bro/bro -- scar on left cheek Husband travelled between Colorado and Utah on business. He said when he returned from a business trip, she was gone and he hadn’t heard from her.

Case # 86-54420
Case Status: Open

Her surname sounds quite unique and for some reason sounds like mispelled to me. Getting no hits anywhere on Puchuskie. Other way of spelling of her name in Namus - Pichcuskie sounds more correct and there are quite a few with that surname on East Coast - NY area and also on West Coast - Oregon area.

Marlene has been ruled out as Utah Jane Doe found Sept 3, 1986 - https://identifyus.org/en/cases/6947

Good sleuthing, Al Ka! I think the NAMUS age is the correct one but you are right that they have the wrong spelling as her primary name. I found a marriage record on Ancestry. Marlene A Bradshaw married DB Pichcuskie 28 Jun 1985 in Salt Lake City.
There is a Findagrave Memorial for Marlene Bradshaw: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/147324071
Gravestone has only date of birth: 18 Apr 1952. No date of death.
1952 DOB would make her 34 in 1986.

Wow, that is brilliant information and it helps a lot to search with her maiden name known and her DOB. If I find her high school by any chance I will post here so anyone with classmates account can search further for the photos.

Sadly, she went missing 4 days shy of their first and short marriage anniversary.

So sad she had cemetary stone already laid for her

Unfortunately I didn't find any other records for Marlene. I couldn't find a birth record with the date on the gravestone, so I'm not sure if Bradshaw is her maiden name or a prior married name.

The stone looks rather new to me (made with the last decade or so). I think it probably was placed there by family some time after her disappearance. JMO.

I found her parents and her maiden name was Bradshaw. I don't want to sleuth her family, so I won't link, but they are in the same grave yard on findagrave and their memorials have obituaries attached. Their gravestone is a similar style as Marlene's, so my guess would be hers was added at the same time her mom's was put in (JMO). Her mother died in 2004. Her father died in 2016. Both parent's obituaries list Marlene as preceding them in death (common practice when a missing person is thought to be deceased). She might have some siblings left that could contribute DNA for her NAMUS profile.

I found an obituary for one of her sisters (died in 2013) and it mentions the sister graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City. It seems SLC is where the family was raised. Maybe someone can check there for Marlene's yearbook photo (I could not find it on Ancestry).

Marlene was involved in a car accident when she was 15 that killed one of her friends:

Article from November 25, 1967 [h=1]The Ogden Standard-Examiner from Ogden, Utah · Page 12[/h]
From the OCR Text:
[FONT=&quot]SALT LAKE GIRL MEETS DEATH IN 1-CAR ACCIDENT BRIGHTON (AP) -- A one-car accident late Friday took the life of a 16- year-old Salt Lake girl and raised the state's death toll to 253. Highway patrolman said Rhonda Atkin died when the car she was driving went off the highway in Big Cottonwood Canyon, traveled 129 feet, rolled and came to rest on its top. Passengers Marlene Bradshaw, 15. Marty Jensen, 17, and Linda Nyman, 16, all of Salt Lake City, were treated at Cottonwood Hospital and released. The toll for the same period last year was 298. No details on her injuries there, but if she had any injuries such as a broken bones that should be added to her NAMUS profile. Only family may know that info. This article at least verifies she was in Salt Lake City, Utah as a teenager. So perhaps we can find a school picture.

Another article on the accident (BBM):

November 25, 1967 [h=1]The Salt Lake Tribune from Salt Lake City, Utah · Page 19[/h]
Rollover Claims Utah Girl, 16, Hurts 3 Others Special to The Tribune BRIGHTON — A girl was killed and three others injured Friday about 10:10 p.m. when an automobile ran off the highway and rolled over one mile above the Solitude parking lot in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Dead on arrival at Cottonwood Hospital was Rhonda Atkin, 16, 2636 Lockhart Rd., driver of the car. Treated at the hospital where they were all listed in good condition were Marlene Bradshaw, 15, 1900 Gunderson Ln., with possible back injuries; Marty Jensen, 17, 1869 Millbrook Rd., head and face lacerations and Lina Nyman, 16, 2610 E. 3935 South, lacerations. The injured girls told investigating deputies they had gone up the canyon to attend a party at Brighton but had been unable to find it and were on their way down. The car drifted to the right and when Miss Atkin attempted to bring it back on the highway it skidded off to the left side. Deputy Sheriff Verl Buxton, who came across the accident shortly after it occurred, said the car traveled 129 feet after leaving the highway. It came to rest on it.s top

I have spend quite a few hours searching that high school and some others too and so far coming up empty. There is no name listed of that deceased sister as attendee of that school, or Marlene or any of her 5 siblings. I have searched through 1970 (Marlene would have been 18 then I think) till about 1996. Of course unless they had different surname then (not likely) or for some reason I just did not see it. There is also about 8 year gap between this deceased sister and Marlene so there is possibility Marlene could have attended different high school.

This article also states Marlene's address in Salt Lake City when she was 15. I wonder if any local would know which High Schools were nearby.

Thanks for trying. I had the same issue. There are people with the surname Bradshaw but not any that are her or her family member's names. I wonder if perhaps they went by their middle names for school? IDK.

Found Marlene Bradshaw listed in Olympus High School (Salt Lake City) Class of 1970

Awesome work Al Ka. You figured out what school Marlene went to. Now we just need to find the yearbook picture. We are so close!

ETA: Ancestry.com yearbooks only have 1960 and 1973, none of the years in between that we need to see. That must be why I can't find her. Hope another yearbook website has it.

Marlene is not on the list of people included in the 1968 or 1969 yearbooks.

She must be in the 1970 one, but they don't have it. So frustrating!
