Well, perhaps I have missed it, but do you know when they have last asked for help? I really hate to ask this, as it is both possible and reasonable that they have decided to mourn rather than search; and if I am right, could I ask why you want to (forgive the expression) stir the grave?

I don't think they are mourning; I think they just don't have a lot of new information to release to the public.

If my child vanished into thin air and I had no proof that they were dead, but everything I had led me to believe they might be alive, I would search for the rest of my life to find that child, regardless of what anyone else thought.

Wondering if removal from FBI page is the result of possibly too many tips ect. being received about the case?

It seems Amy's FBI page was pulled as long ago as 2006. I don't know exactly when it was pulled, though...

Amy disappeared between Astronomical and civil twilight. It was likely "dark" or "darkish" when she went missing.

Amy was last seen on the balcony by her father when it was mostly dark outside. If she fell off the balcony, she likely wouldn't have been seen by anyone and if she hit a life boat on the way down, she likely would have been injured by that. The water felt freezing (as described by her family).

What are you basing that on Hi? We need links to things stated as fact.

As I posted upthread, the FBI page was active in September 2012 when Salem opened the thread, AND on August 19 2012, one of our posters made reference to viewing the FBI page with the sketches on that date.

I was thinking about the 100 witnesses today. I tend to think that it would be pretty easy for RC to offer a bunch of people money to say they saw Amy alive and well, so I have never put a whole lot of stock in that. I usually don't put much faith in eyewitness sightings anyway.

However, let's say for a moment that those sightings are legit. What do they mean? How do they fit into what happened to Amy? If the sightings are real, then it means that Amy most likely left the ship and her family of her own accord. I find that kind of mind-blowing. Either that or she was taken away and somehow came to accept her lot and stopped fighting it. Which may be even more sad.

IIRC There is a quote that says her dad stated to the judge that they withheld the 100 eyewitness sightings of Amy alive and living freely because they felt it would jeopardize her. IIRC the judge didn't accept that excuse.


So it appears the family admitted withholding the 100 witness sightings.

But, yes, it woud add the theory that Amy walked away on her own accord and has no plans to return.

Not to mention , it was reported earlier on, that there were men seen sitting outside the Bradley's home taking photos. If this is true, it was very possibly as a threat to gain power over Amy, IMO. After Amy disappeared, the Bradleys were back in their home in Virginia. There was a family gathering at their home. A concerned neighbor came to the door to report that two young men were sitting in a car further down the street. They had a telephoto lense and they were photographing the Bradley home, as relatives came to the house.

The police were called, but the young men took off. Somehow the police determined that it had been a rental car. The authorities believe that these people may have been photographing Amy's family for her captors.

Yes, the creeps that were photographing Amy's family and house is very disturbing. Those photos easily could've been used to intimidate and blackmail Amy. As far as 1998 to 2005, Amy's personality has changed. When Amy was first seen being flanked on August 1998 she was putting distance between her handlers and walking up to the Canadian divers as soon as she figured they spoke English. Amy stood up in the brothel in 1999 and told the sailor confidently her full name and that she needed help. In 2005, Amy didn't really communicate with Judy, she was meek and submissive and talked softly. Amy was horrified when Judy said out loud that her daughters name is Amy.

Specifically, what is it about the story that makes you think it is fabrication?

It makes no sense, is totally implausible, and we have only the word of the VI as to it ever happening. To be more specific, I cannot imagine why some sort of organized criminals would send people to Virginia from the Caribbean to take photographs of Amy's family. It would be costly and risky, with no plausible payoff. I have a hard time believing much of what the VI has written, to be blunt. All it really speaks of to me is the desperation of a family that is struggling to come to grips with the fact that their daughter is dead.
