Case File 344DFWA
Elizabeth A. Eisel
Missing since December 15, 1985 from Bellevue, King County, Washington.
Classification: Endangered Missing
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance
Eisel was last seen in Washington in 1985. Eisel's adoptive mother died in 1977 and Eisel began to show interest in locating her birth mother afterward.
After attending the University of Minnesota she moved to Orange County, California, and lived with a relative. Eisel arranged a family reunion, where she met and took up company with her half-brother, Steven DeLoge, who is her birth-mother's son. At the time he was wanted for arson and had already been in prison. Eisel changed her name to Danielle DeLoge in 1982, and they began traveling as husband and wife. She gave birth to Steven's son in 1983. The three of them moved into an apartment complex near Main Street and northeast 108th Avenue in Bellevue, Washington in early 1985, but the relationship began falling apart. Eisel began dating another man and Steven became interested in another woman.
Eisel's boyfriend witnessed a violent verbal argument between Eisel and Deloge in late 1985. Shortly before her disappearance, Eisel had a fight with DeLoge and moved in with her boyfriend. After spending Labor Day weekend with him, she returned to the apartment intent on breaking up with DeLoge. She was never seen again. She left her 2 year old child, belongings and vehicle behind at her residence. DeLoge told police she just took off. Three months after she disappeared, he and his girlfriend abandoned the child with a baby sitter and left Bellevue.
Eisel's father reported her as a missing person in 1998, 13 years after her disappearance.
