Does anyone else wonder why I.C.E. is involved in the investigation?? I know that they investigate crimes that involve drug smuggling and also crimes involving child pornagraphy (perhaps some photos showed up on someone's computer).

I think it was stated ICE simply offered their assistance at first. Very common among agencies. It sounds like the investigative team took them up on the offer. I thinking it could just be using their undercover cars or tactical and specialized equipment and access to certain databases, (satellite feeds?) Maybe even some ICE agents to help when the suspect(s) take a drive and they need to use a 3 car-team tailing surveillance. Maybe even 4 to make sure suspect thinks there alone. Lots of man-power could be needed on a short notice.

I believe it's protocol. Especially in a case like this. If they didn't involve them the LE would be in trouble for not following protocol.

1. Does anyone know if the R brothers were in or out of jail on 2/9? ---could they be involved in the "group" activities of 2/9............

2. What happened to the post related to the group of cars up by Sunnyslope the other night that looked like a SWAT team advance? Did that lead to anything?

1. I was checking the records and cr did not show up in jail until the week after her body was found. dr showed up a few days later.

Wow. For someone "way into drugs," Mackenzie sure did keep a tight schedule. High school in the morning, beauty school in the afternoon, dance team after that, and then working in gym visits at Gold's in the evening. I don't travel in druggy circles, but I would guess that most drug users don't work out, much less keep the tight schedule that Mackenzie did. I admire the hell out of the girl for overcoming the taunting and bullying that she had experienced to make something of herself. She had dreams and she was working toward those dreams. I just don't see her as the type of person to be "way into drugs," but I've been wrong before.

It was never addressed yesterday after I referenced this article. I did mean Orondo St. in my post, but forgot the St. part. I am amazed that no one is wondering about it saying that she was at 5th St. Riverfront Park and Orondo St. Riverfront Park (both in Wenatchee). I am going to assume it was a typo and she was just at Riverfront Park at the end of Orondo St. in Wenatchee.

It is all one park, just different parking lots.

This was just part of the ramblings last night trying to figure out which car wash she might have been eye-witnessed at with a male passenger. If you would continue reading the thread you will find it was later turned into a confirmed rumor of being the car wash by Dusty's Burgers in North Wenatchee, only exit being north on Wen. Ave. Although there is also a right turn not far that would take you back towards Lowe's and then downtown.


Excuse me for trying to be helpful to someone unfamiliar with the area. I thought this was a place where people were respectful to each other.

Yes. Not recently though. She was there at the Middle School for sure. I am not sure if she attended any high school there.

A lot of the memorial comments on FB say the person knew her when she went to Cashmere High school.

branching out in a different direction for a second... Not being local, I keep coming back to the fact that there is no known murder scene. I am drawn to the 911 call that came in the same night she went missing close to midnight. I know it was out of town,but perhaps that is where the murder occurred, and the body was then transported later to the scene of discovery. Maybe the murderer got rid of her cell phone earlier and she made a quick last ditch effort to call 911 and all that was heard was the crying and then click. It was at a convenience store. I don't know if this would be a possibility, but given the complication of all the involved areas, maybe they had ties to an area out there where the call came in? We are all assuming the body was placed there the same day, but maybe it was brought to town days later? Just a thought. That call bothers me...
Locals, how far from town to where that call came from Leavenworth?

Grey- Levenworth is about 30 miles from Wenatchee. I have always wondered about that phone call. I vaguely remember looking up the 911 calls (logs) for that day- and the next couple days....... and I recall quite a few calls for from Leavenworth that night. It stuck out to me because Leavenworth is a small Baverian Tourist town, and there was calls from Hotels, too...... it was a while ago that I did that......

PS. Leavenworth is full of Mountains, Rivers, MANY MANY campstites and remote wooded areas.

WC has many listings up here in Leavenworth. Also Dans closes at 11m I thought it was odd that a person would not go into store where there are people so caller went to pay phone.

I am not sure if this is correct, but I heard it from a reliable friend, that WC bf, JF, mom lives up blewett, and he maybe staying there right now.......
