This is highly unusual as she is not answering her phone, and her family and friends are very concerned.

Reyna is a small business owner and has not shown up for work.

Police looking for missing Renton woman

Renton Police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman last seen three days ago.

Veronica Tapia, who has been friends with Hernandez for about 10 years, told KOMO News all she wants is to make sure she’s safe.

"She always tells everyone where she's at or what she's going to do, whether she's going on vacation, but she never leaves her business just like that," said Tapia.

A friend told police that he last spoke with the missing woman between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 26 while she was running errands. She told her friend that she was heading to a home in south Renton.


Police said that in the last several days, several search warrants were served, and detectives are investigating dozens of leads. Evidence found during the searches points to Hernandez being taken against her will, and her car isn’t believed to be in the area.

I wonder if this man kidnapped Reyna and took her to Mexico, or if he drove 1270 miles to dump her body. If it's the latter, it's a small miracle that she was found and identified so quickly.

Police said the death appears to be related to a domestic violence incident and that there was evidence she was taken against her will.

“This is the worst possible outcome, and our hearts go out to Reyna’s family and friends,” Renton police Cmdr. Chandler Swain said in a news release. “We are working closely with Mexicali police and our U.S. Federal partners to determine when and where Reyna was killed.”

"A friend reported that he last spoke with Ms. Hernandez on Monday, February 26, between 10:00 and 10:30 am as she was out running errands.

She told her friend she was going to a home in South Renton. Evidence recovered in the search warrants indicates that Ms. Hernandez was taken against her will, and we do not believe her car is currently in the area."

I think it’s great they were able to connect a missing person in Washington state with an unidentified victim in Mexico so fast. I feel like that doesn’t happen very often.
