His badly decomposed body was found about 7 miles south of Sultan and 50 feet from a skid road. He was lying on his stomach with his hands outstretched above his head.

He had been murdered; the left side of his skull had been crushed and several teeth were missing from the lower jaw. (Doesn’t say if this occurred before or at the time of death)

Estimated to be in his early 40s, 5’7”, sandy-colored hair with steaks of grey, and a metal plate in his right leg above the ankle. The plate was probably due to surgery from a previous fracture. One oxford, a pair of suspenders and small scraps of cloth were found with his body.

PMI estimated from several months to a year.

This says he was about 22 years old, 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. A portion of his skull was missing.

Thomas William Richey? Probably the closest match I have seen so far compared to the others on NamUs. Not a lot of possible matches so it might be hard to identify this UID. He was last seen in 1950 and was 16, so in 1956 he would be around 22 years old. I wonder if this could also be someone who was not reported missing and had some kind of incident out doors and died. Though I would not rule out foul play jmo.
