I will never understand why people enjoy waving large wads of money around, and they go out drinking and drugging. Then they try to drive their big bad cars and play with guns. They think they are having fun until it isn't fun anymore. Happens over and over, it's sickening.I think this speaks to motive - from the Criminal Affidavit online. It sounds like they were all coworkers.

Tuesday, June 13th:
*Disposition Hearing (for Alvarez) (@ 3pm ET) - FL - Efrain Ibarra-Barcenas (44) his body was found in a burning field in Ruskin. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said on Saturday, April 15, 2023, just shortly after 8 a.m., a concerned caller told dispatch they drove past what they believed was a mannequin on fire in an open field behind a residential area on Will Scarlett Avenue in Ruskin. Fire Rescue responded to the scene to extinguish the flames & discovered that the mannequin was actually a dead body. The sheriff's office said the victim was found with upper body trauma & due to the severity of the burns, it cannot be identified. Was id’ed as Efrain. *Christian Segura-Alvarez (20) arrested (4/21/23 & charged (4/22/23) with 2nd degree felony murder with gun & tampering with physical evidence relating to a capital felony in connection with the crime. $600K bond.
Court documents revealed the victim was Efrain Ibarra-Barcenas. Investigators matched his clothes at the crime scene & found a paystub in his name. The documents also show he was stabbed in the back, had tape around his right arm & a belt on his ankles. Ibarra-Barcenas was last seen drinking with the suspects less than a mile from the crime scene. Phone records & surveillance footage showed Almaraz-Barbosa driving the victim’s truck the night of the crime. Those same records also showed the victim’s phone returning to the suspects’ home later that night.
4/22/23 Update: A suspect has been arrested & victim identified. LE not disclosing any info. 5/1/23: Public defender appointed. 5/2/23 Update: Arrested were Alvarez & Barbosa was still on the lam & the victim was identified as Efrain Ibarra-Barcenas. Barbosa still at large. 5/1/23: Segura-Alvarez: Criminal affidavit application indigent status. Determined to be indigent. No fee assessed, prior assessment per AO 06-58. The public defender is hereby appointed. 5/4/23: Search warrant filed. 5/10/23: Notice of confidential victim info rule 2-423. Information filed.
5/19/23 Update: Order appointing the Office of the Public Defender & Order imposing $50 public defender application fee & Order setting disposition hearing on 6/13/23 @ 3pm.
*Antonio Juan Carlos Almaraz-Barbosa (26) arrested (5/18/23 in Houston, TX) & charged with 2nd degree murder, abuse of a human body, tampering with physical evidence & grand theft of a motor vehicle. Awaiting extradition from Houston to Hillsborough County, FL.
Had active warrants for 2nd degree murder, abuse of a dead human body, tampering with physical evidence & grand theft of a motor vehicle. Suspect in the case, was still at large.
5/18/23 Update: The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Carlos Almaraz-Barbosa, 26, was found & taken into custody by the US Marshal's Service in Houston, Texas. He's now awaiting extradition back to Hillsborough County. Almaraz-Barbosa will face multiple charges, which include second degree murder, abuse of a human body, tampering with physical evidence & grand theft of a motor vehicle, deputies said.

We couldn't find anything on Almaraz Barbosa because his name is misspelled on the court docket. Instead of Almaraz it's written Almraz.
