Maybe it is affluenza. At least in part. I certainly got the idea that he (and his parents) thought they were much too good for Breanna and her ilk.

But I also think there's something irreparably damaged in his psyche. As you point out -- there's a complete lack of empathy there—a hollowness where a heart should lie.
Another thing I just cant understand....WHY did CG choose to work with CHILDREN. He obviously had no regard for them. Power trip? Easy career? Very odd.

Agree to disagree.

Justice is the balancing of a wrong. The taking of human life is an irreversible act, and no punishment can genuinely compensate for or equal that loss. No matter how severe, imprisonment is inadequate in providing true justice for the victim and their family.

I'm not minimizing anything. We obviously have to punish killers, and the only method we have is through the legal system, but ask family members of a victim whether they feel true justice was served.

It's the best we can do. But, it's far from justice.
I’m not sure how you’re conceptualizing “true justice.” We’re mere mortals after all. I’m talking about earthly justice.

This case would have been a slam dunk if CG had taken the stand or at least been questioned by LE after the murder. Notice that not once was he taken to a police station to be questioned by LE - Gallucci was retained on 4/3 and made sure CG never spoke to authorities (as in voluntarily going down to a station for questioning). Below article references Gallucci mentioning this at the very end of the article.

So there are no statements he made to police that could incriminate him. He was careful to cover his tracks. The jury really only has the treadmill video to infer that the murder took place. I hope they can come to the right decision

Staten Island attorney says murder trial surrounding death of N.J. boy Corey Micciolo his most controversial

Imo the dad got him into the JH program. Which apparently didn't require previous academic degrees in teaching, math. I'd like to see the acceptance rate into that program. I can't think of a worse slot for him. Teaching or mentoring inner city kids then coming home to take care of a child who his family, imo, considered inferior.

Verdict has been reached!!!!!!!!! 1:08pm NJ time 5/31

Corey's mom in the front row, in light blue. Hugs to her.

That’s the correct verdict! Good job, jury! Gregor Sr mouthed “I love you” on his way out from the very back of the courtroom. Why didn’t they sit right behind him? Odd.

Anyway RIP Corey. Sweet angel! :(

Hope judge serves more justice with a stiff sentence! Nothing less than 25 years imo.
