Circumstances of Disappearance: Stephen Lund was last known to be living in Tampa, FL. He told his family in Illinois he would be home on July 4, 1979 but never arrived. He was believed to be with Suzanne Schultz (MP 6635) who is also missing. Suzanne told her family she would be home on August 4, 1979. Stephen and Suzanne never arrived to their destinations and have not been seen since. Suzanne's U-Haul trailer was located, abandoned in Chicago in September, 1979.

I think there is an incredibly strong likelihood that Suzanne Schultz and Stephen Lund are the male and female skeletal remains found in Homestead Florida in December 1982.

The age, race, weight, and height all match up match up to the public facing information presented in this missing persons cases.

And the unidentified female is believed to be approximately 10 years younger than the unidentified male. This also fits with the noticeable age difference between Suzanne (17) and Stephen (32).

police have no idea who the couple was, although "we are going under the theory that these people were together."

An assistant Dade medical examiner estimated that the man was between 30 and 40 years, and that the woman was from 18 to 22. They apparently were shot to death, and had been dead anywhere from two months to a year.

We suspect murder at this time, but it still has to go through the medical examiner before we can determine that," Merritt said. Evidence of gunshot wounds was found on both skeletons, he said, adding that the area is on a popular drug-trafficking route.

Credit goes to @citizen_sleuth for originally finding these links and including them into the thread for the unidentified couple.

I have submitted this possibility. I hope it gets investigated further.
