I would really like to know what RH meant by MISS-LEADERS under the heading PROBLEMS in his notes. All the other items are self-explanatory or can be easily figured out what he meant, but this particular one I can't figure out. I can't even come up w/any possibles yet. I saw someone in an earlier thread thought they knew what it meant, and another poster even agreed w/them, but I didn't see how it could be right, bc of the fact that he had listed this under PROBLEMS. I've forgotten what the other poster thought it meant, but I remember thinking that couldn't be it, because that really didn't fit as a "problem" for RH. So I'd like someone with more creativity than I have to see if they can figure out what he meant by MISS-LEADERS. Could it be a construction/architecture term? Was he ever in Mississippi? Did he mean the word 'mislead', like people who misled him, i.e. liars? Or things he wanted to keep in mind to more easily mislead others? (I think that's more what the other poster guessed he meant.)

Am I correct that he wrote these notes long after he'd killed his 1st victim allegedly? About 10 yrs after even? So he wasn't exactly a rookie at it, but he was obviously still working on improvements. It comes across to me as written after only say, 3 or 4, maybe 5 kills. But seems like there would have been many more in that many years, but maybe he was just slow starting, picking up speed (victims) later.

MISS-LEADERS... something he considered one of the many problems he might encounter, or already had encountered. I'm just drawing blanks. What could he have meant by that???

I took "-MISS-LEADERS?" as either:

1. He THOUGHT it was a woman, but it was a man in women's clothes (Asian Doe)

2. A s3x worker who doesn't offer the services he's looking for OR one who takes his money and he doesn't get anything in return and is maybe even tricked out of it/scammed (like ALC allegedly)

All IMO.

I have been quietly reading along...still on the last thread. I wanted to jump forward a sec to say...The shown pictures are not what I believe is the issue...Remember, JR handed out some photo packs to the media...they were too much to show...He said they are online. This pack of art WAS VH work...The shown images have caused some upset...The VH art not shown is an abomination! I appreciate JR NOT showing that!... I really feel for VH for even being in the vicinity...but I gotta say...She KNOWS stuff and that is Heart breaking.

Under his list of Problems

Photos and Miss-Leaders are the only 2 on the list that he has a "?" after.

Had he been misled by a SW which caused him problems?
How could he be misled by a SW?

Why is it listed under "photos"?

I didn't notice anything about its proximity to PHOTOS, don't know if he was connecting those in any way or not...

I keep thinking maybe the MISS is short for Missing, as in missing persons, but LEADERS doesn't fit that in any way I can think of... but it would make sense that one of his problems might be when a person he has killed is reported missing. But I can't make it fit.

There's also the term "loss leaders" used in stores, by merchants, that sounds very similar to MISS-LEADERS, but I can't get anywhere w/that either.

He may just be trying to use the word mislead, thinking it's spelled misslead or miss-lead?, so he would either mean people who mislead (lie to) him, which, yes, could be a problem... or things that mislead others, like telling himself he needs to have believable cover stories or backstories or whatever already in mind to make it all go more smoothly, to avoid PROBLEMS! But I personally don't think this is what he meant either.

Still thinking and hoping for more ideas as well!

it's quite possible he had made documents all along but they were not able to retrieve them - these ones were deleted but they were able to retrieve them because they had not been written over by new data and they had to buy old software to do it (if I'm remembering correctly)

miss-leaders has been bothering me too ...

Maybe it's about Bittrolff and those 3 murders!

I’ve also ruminated over what RH meant with “miss-leaders.”

It is included in a long list of types of evidence that a perpetrator would need to take care not to leave if he intends to avoid detection.

There are so many spelling errors on the document that I think it likely this is yet another and RH meant to write “misleaders,” in which case I’m inclined to think he means leaving something with a body that points to someone other than him OR that might lead to a profile which differs substantially from his.

Alternatively, he could mean something untrue (a misdirection) that he tells the escort when making arrangements to meet so that if the escort tells others (a driver, another escort, a friend, or protector), those others will repeat that to anyone concerned, including LE, so that LE investigates based upon untrue information.

I think the sick freak meant "mislead," so people who've "misled" him. I don't know what anyone else views it as, but I thought that one was clear, it's just my opinion, though. Remember in his bail doc he was saying he was going to contact the SW later with "bed info"? He gets into details with these women before he meets them. Unknown to the women, he's getting details that will enable him in the crime. He probably tells them he's married and needs discretion, come alone. He's giving them a fabulous amount of money (supposedly), so they're not going to be inclined to argue. Maybe he says he wants total protection & privacy, no phone. (Amber went alone and didn't take her phone. I think others did as well. But of course we know others did bring the phones because he was using the phones. I'm not saying this request would "always" be made, but perhaps "sometimes.") With some women, depending on the circumstances, maybe he's gotten personal information about backgrounds and relationships (like he's a repeat customer) and he's relying on it for whatever reason and then they may not have been "honest" with him. Maybe he's demanding a certain age range, to know "real hair color," what have you, and he's relying on this for his demanding "victim quality list," he's very angry if everything isn't "up to snuff."

But now that you have me thinking about it, maybe this is an indicator of "others" involved in his crimes, he's "drawing information" and doesn't know if he can trust the source. Obviously if he's getting his info from another criminal "pal," he knows how trustworthy he himself is, so he knows the "pal" is probably equally reliable, honest, and decent. This is where it could get very interesting. Because John Ray had one witness who was a SW who'd been threatened by RH (allegedly) and then (again, all allegedly) RH told her to get out of the car and get another client, which she did, and RH followed them until a cop ended up getting involved, and that was the end of it. Starts at about 19 mins on this press conference video:

What might something like that, if true, mean in terms of JBittrolff and his attorney's note about sperm/semen not being equal to murder?

This is from Thread #1

The day after RH was arrested.

I never saw this claim before by Ray Tierney or anyone else.
Why did LE think this?

"Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told the court his teams intended to follow Heuermann, who they have been watching since last year, for longer but feared he was about to flee the country. "

AE is Icelandic descent and he and AE have been to Iceland. And RH had $$$. I never saw this noted before that they feared he'd go abroad, but it doesn't surprise me. And I wonder what he may have done on his trips abroad in the past.

Could it be an anagram?

In his phone records about Derek cutting posts, if you read his plan it says build table , set stage something else about a cage if he possibly builds it as required then burns it after maybe in burn can . Burns the blood evidence !!
He must have bought a lot of timber at the hardware store!

A different profile would be a wanted misleader: "obviously" being a single man, living with his elderly parents - plus whatever would be suitable: non-educated, no job, socially challenged, no car, no money, and so on. MOO

This lady missing and mentions leads
Maybe he is talking about LEADS like that missing poster mentions, tips that LE gets from the public that they then have to follow up on and investigate. But maybe he's making a sort of play on words, by calling them MISS-LEADERS, either meaning mislead-ers and/or leads about people who were reported missing... If he means mislead-ers, maybe HE was calling in misleading tips on his victims if they were reported missing, hoping to confuse/divert/obstruct the investigation.

Hm. Possibly possible is all I can say for that interpretation! Especially because... would he categorize something like that as a PROBLEM? Sounds more like a TOOL almost in a way.

Under his list of Problems

Photos and Miss-Leaders are the only 2 on the list that he has a "?" after.

Had he been misled by a SW which caused him problems?
How could he be misled by a SW?

Why is it listed under "photos"?
Isn't "Miss-Leaders" simply listed between "Photos?" and "Police Stop" Also, despite his bad spelling, I wonder if the "Miss" has meaning relating to the young women as in Miss, Mrs. Ms.

My first thought is that his own misleading statements - if stopped or ever questioned - must be well thought out and unable to be proven a lie. A misleading story that is easily disproved or which doesn't make sense to the listener could become a very big problem.

Maybe?

I'm just watching the JR news conference from the beginning. He begins by saying he's been working this case since 2011. That's a long time; maybe even longer than most of the LE and DA staff who started out. He says he's in pursuit of Shannon Gilbert's killers and the full truth of the facts and circumstances of all these murders. He says he represents the Gilbert's family (which may not be for long if the sister's response leads to them rethinking his involvement imo), plus "several victims of RH who survived him, who were attacked or stalked by him". I wonder who these other survivors are. I'd love to hear their stories.
MOO.
IIUC from the 48 Hours episode last evening JR it seems one of the surviving women who had contacted RH is the woman who has been interviewed several times recently. The one that supposedly had dinner with RH, was concerned about statements he made, and refused to accompany him to his residence IIRC. Her name escapes me. But I believe she was most recently cutting hair or a hair stylist? She was on very late in the episode last night. Not sure of others. MOO

Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 6 murders, July 2023 #13

View attachment 510672
'Police discovered the first set of female remains in bushes along an isolated strip of waterfront property on Gilgo Beach while searching for another missing woman: Shannan Gilbert, a 23-year-old from Jersey City, New Jersey who hadn’t been seen since May 2010.

The remains of Melissa Barthelemy, 24, were the first to be discovered in the case during the search on December 11, 2010, according to Suffolk County officials. Two days later, investigators discovered the remains of three additional victims – Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Amber Costello and Megan Waterman – strewn across a half-mile stretch on Gilgo Beach.

The four women, who were wrapped in camouflaged burlap, worked as escorts who advertised on Craigslist and were last seen between July 2007 and September 2010, officials said.''
It is very important to remember that SCPD did not release the “camouflage” patterned burlap detail until RH’s arrest, in July of 2033. Thirteen years they withheld that vital detail which if known to the public- as well as the make and model of the truck would have given the public a substantially better chance of coming forward with tips! They withheld this information, it seems, on purpose.

What if he didn’t misspell that word and he literally meant miss (the) leaders. Leaders of gatherings, leaders of groups with the same general interest like those who ran BDSM clubs or parties and gatherings, leaders of LE or investigations, or even leaders of escort services or pimps- as in avoid being seen by the “leaders.” He is a stalker. He could have followed online and in-person interactions and plans and invites and then lurked just away from the attendees, guests and hosts.

Yes, her name is Nikki I believe.
He says he represents several survivors. Perhaps another is the taxi driver.
I don't know if he considers the lady who claims she went to RH/AE's home as a victim of RH too.
MOO.
