SECOND CASE TODAY

Othram is honored to assist the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in identifying "Angel Baby", a baby found in 2001. An arrest has been made in the case. This case was funded by DNASolves and the generosity of the public. We are grateful for everyone's support.

Othram is honored to have been able to assist the Yakima Police Department in identifying a 1977 homicide victim as 25-year-old Vereta "Joni" Gates.

No wonder her family couldn't find her, if they were looking around Chicago. Washington state is quite a way away. And without centralisation of records, there'd be no way of connecting this Jane Doe to Joni at all, even with fingerprints and dentals.

There was very little evidence left. The family never stopped looking for her so it was amazing to finally be able to provide some answers.

Honored Othram could assist Collier County Sheriff’s Office & the FBI in identifying a 1978 homicide victim as Joan Shirley Joyce Waters, born in 1936. We are grateful for the support of RTI, NamUs, and the NIJ in funding the case.

This is the third case solve announcement today and the fifth since yesterday!

Great to see another 'low number' Doe identified! I know they've all been waiting a long time, but it makes me especially happy to see those who have been on NamUs for a long time get their names back.
