I thought the same thing. Like, unless you know your kid is capable of that, why is it that when he was watching the shooting unfold his immediate thought was about his son and the gun?I find this interesting. I’m not sure most people’s minds would go there, unless they believed their son was capable of such a thing.
So , effectively the protectant has a team of Secret Service which are his core protection but they rely on local authorities for the extra protection, so this is normal practice and Secret Service did its job. And the lesson learned is that the practice needs improvement and change. In my opinion. Current state of affairs would benefit from a larger presence.
The Progressive Turnout Project. What is the referenced “progressive cause” he donated to in 2021?

I will say there is precedent, for such a thing. The Michigan school shooter’s parents were convicted and are facing jail time. But not sure that they’ll find any evidence in this case to support any charges against the parents. (Nor do I believe they should face charges unless guilty of gross negligence to act). Not IMO. Son is over 18 and there was no intent on behalf of the Father.

I doubt it. As far as I know there is no law against allowing your adult son to borrow a gun to go to a range, at least as long as the son is allowed to have a firearm (non-felon, no known mental illness).Could the father be facing charges? letting the son take his gun?
Differing information as usual ...The F.B.I. said it had gained access to the would-be assassin’s phone, but it was not immediately clear if it had yielded clues.

Eight shots?!? Think if he would have used a bump stock, etc, like the Vegas shooter.www.websleuths.com
The other thread closed before I could respond. Was this image was taken before shots were fired?
Everything else appears too normal to me. Security are in their usual positions etc.
Just wandering, if Trump spoke with his shoes off? (If so, I get it..I've got bad feet myself)
Thanks for this link. I just posted MSM citing TC joined a shooting range/club about a year ago.Is
Is it legal to bring someone else's gun?
I guess since both parents work in behavioral health (as mentioned above) they could be held by DUTY TO WARN if son had made any statements which could have led them to call authorities and report son and gun missing . Of course anything along those lines is pure speculation as I have seen no evidence documenting such.I will say there is precedent, for such a thing. The Michigan school shooter’s parents were convicted and are facing jail time. But not sure that they’ll find any evidence in this case to support any charges against the parents. The school shooter was underage and had suspected mental illness. I don’t think the parents convictions would be a precedent for the current situation.I will say there is precedent, for such a thing. Perhaps your source has a more recent update. Or he meant the texts and calls didn’t reveal anything. Having the phone data itself may reveal more (notes, lists, Google searches etc)
Not that we expect people to behave correctly after being shot at, but it seemed to me that Trump should have got down sooner. And stayed down. After all, they didn't know if there were other shooters in the area.
I don't feel it's appropriate to comment on potential charges against his parents at this time. There is no evidence so far to suggest they were anything but shocked at what he did. In addition, it appears his Dad called LE per the tweet below. IMO, they are going through enough & unless new information is revealed to the contrary - they are victims of his horrific actions too.I will say there is precedent, for such a thing. That could be true, but in many states, it's illegal to sell liquor on election days, so maybe a law not to sell ammo on the day before and day of a large political rally?I don't know that buying ammo would really be a red flag. I'm sure that store sold lots of ammo that day and every other day. 50 rounds is a typical amount to buy if you are going to the range to shoot.
Edited to add: this amount is likely the smallest amount someone could buy. A quick google search for boxes of ammo show that most come in boxes of 50. So a young man goes into a store and buys a single box of bullets.
I thought he got down quickly, too. Remember when Prince Charles was shot at in the 90s? He wandered all around the stage and kept that royal stiff upper lip. I would have been like, whoa...feet don't fail me now!He got down super quickly IMO. In fact I don't really know how he could have gone down quicker. And it was the SS who were tasked with getting him out of the venue after this tragic incident. They were in charge at that point of determining the all clear and go point.
Everyone see's things differently but I thought his reassurance to the crowd was a huge moment of strength for them and the audiences watching the broadcast. <modsnip: quoted post was snipped>
My question is how did he get the weapon through the metal detectors used by security to those events?I too want to know if he brought it there unassembled I would think if he was walking around carrying it, there would have been someone taking issue, but maybe not. I am curious as it how it was brought in. I know people have "said" they saw him walking around with it, did they tell authorities at that time? I would like to see an image just to wrap my head around it. I will tell you though in the last few years I have seen more and more people taking their weapons out for a walk in the open.... just my thoughts.
True - I forgot to take age into account. I forget TC was 20.The school shooter was underage and had suspected mental illness. I don’t think the parents convictions would be a precedent for the current situation.
