CANDLER, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said it needs help finding a man missing from the Candler area.

Deputies said 25-year-old Tyler Ashby was last seen leaving his home on July 12. He contacted his family the following day and was supposed to return home the next day but has not been seen or heard from since.

Where was Tyler headed when he left home? I've seen his Mom's public posts, but the details she states are not in MSM? Why?

I've been thinking about Tyler's disappearance since it happened and I'm so sorry to see that there are still no answers. We don't even know if they've reviewed his phone records, his bank accounts, etc.. Who is the last person he texted/called? When is the last time he used his debit card? I just feel so bad for families of the missing to have to wake up each day with no answers about their loved ones!

Hoping he is somewhere safe. Only 10 miles from Candler to Asheville which has a very large population of young people who are living homeless.

For someone so young he has a very high number of cases in the NC Judicial system, in my opinion. In North Carolina (as Tyler Thomas Ashby) there were too many to go through individually this morning (one listing has six separate pages of assorted separate cases). But as a brief overview: Breaking and Entering, B and E/Terrorize/Injure, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of Sch II Controlled Substances, reckless driving (wanton disregard), drug possession. More than one bond forfeiture (what some refer to as bail jumping). Looks like another B and E charge in Feb 2023, to which he was found guilty, didn't have time to read through all the documentation to see if he is free on bond on that one.
