There is another reason why a young woman would get a tattoo like that. What if "Jassy" was her baby. Would explain the difficulty in finding a match. The math on her age range would make it plausible that she could have been pregnant and lost a baby in 2008. This would be extremely difficult to track. I don't know what things were like in 2008 but now, if the baby is over 16 weeks gestation there is a fetal death certificate that is filed. Someone could try to go out after this, but it looks like you'd have to call the PA department of health. This is also assuming she was a PA resident and delivered in this state in 2008.

According to the PA Dept of Health, you can only order a copy of a fetal death cert if you are an eligible applicant:

• Parent.
• Brother, sister, half-brother, half-sister
• Grandparent or great-grandparent
• Power of Attorney
• Attorney or legal representative (must provide supporting documentation)
• Extended family members who indicate a direct relationship to the decedent (documentation may be required)

According to Philadelphia Police Public Affairs today, she has been identified as 30-year-old Jessica Zaber of Watertown, New Jersey. “The cause of death is listed as undetermined. There were no signs of trauma.”

From the photo it appears as though this is a pretty populated/congested area. I can't believe no one saw anything while they were tugging at this tote. <modsnip: Removed rumor>

Detectives went door-to-door around 31st and Wharton looking for surveillance video. Multiple cameras are mounted in the area.

I really hope that the cameras show a likely suspect, especially now that LE know who she is. Maybe video of someone close to her or associated with her? At least some visuals showing someone lugging the bin?

I hope the perpetrator is caught soon.

To answer my own question, maybe it was an OD, judging by her previous charges, but the tupperware and saran wrap clearly point to someone not informing the authorities.

Mass was held in her honor in a New Jersey church in September 2023, so she was identified almost a year ago! I am guessing her case is closed.

To answer my own question, maybe it was an OD, judging by her previous charges, but the tupperware and saran wrap clearly point to someone not informing the authorities.

My guess is that they determined it was something like an OD and one or more persons disposed of her body in this horrible way. Sadly, LE probably isn’t going to put too much effort into finding someone for an abuse of a corpse charge.
