When he made the threats in February, they must have asked him why he wanted to kill his mother, and I wonder how he responded.
yes- the whole situation after killing his father- he was acquitted but everyone says he did it, which is odd in itself, leaves a lot unrevealed. The news video above says "Baker Acted 3X" so there must be a lot of history. When he made the threats in February, they must have asked him why he wanted to kill his mother, and I wonder how he responded.
'He's already, at 17 years of age, shot and killed his father and got away with it, and stabbed his mother in the neck so hard that the knife went all the way through.
'Now he's killed two people, and killed his mother and father, and I can assure you based upon his conduct, had he gone to live with his grandmother at the end of this, and she had crossed him, she would be next.'
According to PCSO, he had also been charged with domestic violence battery against his mom in November 2023 by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
“The reason he battered his mother is because she was disciplining him and took his video game privileges away,” said Sheriff Judd. “He pushed her to the ground and he stomped on her.”
The teen is being charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and violation of a no-contact order.
IIUC in the prior case of CG having slain his father in Oklahoma, no charges were ever filed. Self defense apparently could not be ruled out. So IIRC there was no prior charge, trial, nor acquittal. Therefore he could still be tried in that case depending on any evidence assembled or charges filed.yes- the whole situation after killing his father- he was acquitted but everyone says he did it, which is odd in itself, leaves a lot unrevealed. Also says that State authorities told her to continue living with him in her house...though she was afraid.

Shocking new details
"Catherine's killing was the last act of violence in the family's troubled past,
which includes repeated threats of murder,
alleged domestic abuse
and a nasty divorce battle that concluded with the killing of Collin's father Charles, 41, last year.
The teen's parents were engaged in a legal battle over Collin when Charles,
who had full custody of the teen, was fatally shot in the chest and head.

I am thinking the Menendez bros....not sure if we will ever know what the father was doing...and C is being presented as simply bad but maybe there is a back story... however who to believe? And what does society do with people this angry and violent? Its so frustrating to have to witness this type of violence over and over again. With the same contributing factors in every single case. How are these children able to just go unnoticed while simultaneously be so disturbing in their behaviors? Why are women not believed when they say they are afraid? Why wasn't this child taken into state custody, or at the very least evaluated?
I know we are a passionate group in this space. Im here for discourse and discussion about hard things. But I often find it difficult to understand why and how people are like this.
Ya know.. I think about the Menendez brothers a lot too.I am thinking the Menendez bros....not sure if we will ever know what the father was doing...and C is being presented as simply bad but maybe there is a back story... however who to believe? Yep. His dad abused him, and his mom didn’t protect him. He was severely traumatized and full of rage at both of them, it sounds like. If this is the case, it’s no wonder he said he would kill her. He wouldn’t have been able to understand the difficulty victims of DV have when trying to get away, and possibly blamed her.RSBM.
If true (the decades of abuse by the dad), then the son learned from his dad. MOO.
His case never went to trial. The prosecutor in OK did not feel they could prove it wasn't self defense so he was never even tried. His mom bailed him out of jail in OK and he moved back to Florida with her.I asked the same. Then I read that he was acquitted. SMH
