You cannot reform someone who kills "just to see what it feels like". Not possible.

In the 11/18 hearing it was testified to that a therapist came to her home, almost daily. That is a fact. W8nc was sitting beside me at the hearing. She heard it as well.

Please.... by all means, tell us about the times it DIDN'T work. Cuz' it's really not a gamble I want to take with Alyssa. Two of my kids have gone to school with her, and I don't want her to ever have a chance to be near them again.

Then put her in a hospital in your neighborhood. My neighborhood deserves to be kept safe... and that means her being locked away.

Just tried to call Steph and she is busy at work at the moment, but I will have her weigh in when she gets a min. She has worked at two of the MO prisons (a few years ago though)

These are all great questions for CSquare. He will be back at 6pm on Friday. Or, possibly my sister Steph572 could weigh in.... let me see if I can get ahold of her.

Criminal trial scheduling including pre-trial hearings, conferences

Anyone know when Coleman's next court date is?

I think most people are biased against murderers.

One of my best friends just moved from Springfield to TX. They do have a great mall in Springfield. :-) Depending on how long they drag this out I may or may not be willing to stay a night away from home though. I have never been away from my almost two year old, and I'm not ready for...

I have to respectfully disagree. While I am sure that the defense and prosecution try to form a balanced jury.... you just can't get a very conservative jury in some area's (same with liberal juries in other areas). I believe that conservative juries are much more willing to impose a harsher...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a small (conservative), neighboring county. But I will drive to Springfield, St Louis or KC if it is there. If it is a long distance away, maybe W8nc, CSquare and I can pick a couple of days and carpool. Of course.... I don't know about those two, but if...

I hope not. I don't want to drive that far. Personally, I hope it is not a KC or St Louis jury as those areas are far too liberal and would most likely be more lenient in sentencing. Other than St Louis and KC I think anything would be ok.

They can try her wherever they want.... she will still be found guilty. I hope that they will bus a jury into JC for the trial instead of having the trial elsewhere... but I will attend some of the trial no matter where it is held.

Exactly. I am sure that she is just trying to avoid the spotlight and the media for the sake of her other grandkids. That is absolutely the right thing to do. The Morgan County jail is in Versailles. I had a class in Versailles the last week of October (the Sat after Elizabeth went...

I don't care what a person's age is... if you decide to kill a child just to see what it's like, you get locked away for LIFE (or better yet, death penalty). Because I don't care AT ALL about the murder's rights. I care about the rights of my community and my family and neighbors being able...

\ None of Alyssa's family was there today. Also, during the last hearing we had to watch from another floor via closed circuit television. Today we were in the same courtroom as Alyssa- on the 4th floor.

The media were in the jury box. AB did not take the stand, and stayed at the defense table with Jan King. Her hair has not been cut since her last appearance on Nov 18th. It was the same.
