The Black Hawk just came toward Portland, flying in from north along the river (Sauvie etc is all north from my location).

2010.06.29 -- LE says TH not POI nor suspect

FWIW, the whole wweek.com site seems to be down. They're getting too much attention this morning. :) But I saw the item too.. it was brief.

2010.06.29 -- LE says TH not POI nor suspect

:woohoo: And I'll take you out for a drinkie when you get here. :) But it was the crappy national news stringers, not our valiant locals ;) The last two pages of this thread have sapped my will to live. lol C'mon guys, you know you can't believe everything you read? It all gets to us filtered.

3 Weeks Later, Why No Community Outcry?

Yes. +1 to this, and I don't know if it's because LE made a concerted effort to make this case different from the typical template missing children/people cases have taken in recent history (24 hour news cycle etc) or it's just because this case is so.. different. Thanks for the comments on...

*~* Questions for our locals *~*

Well, it's been a few years  but when I attended, my BF was from out of district. He had to make his own way to school. I've been participating in the recent discussions on redesigning our highschool system and made note that the transfer students make their own way to school (TriMet...

*~* Questions for our locals *~*

omg, we really were neighbors once. :D My friends from the Skyline would come down on Germantown/thru NW 25th sort of way, IIRC. You know, past the Audubon Society?

3 Weeks Later, Why No Community Outcry?

I'm local. I feel criticized by the OP comments because we're not doing it his/her way. What do you expect 'the community' to do? Did it occur to you that there might be information that 'the community' has that you do not? I do not have a feeling that my locals have dropped the ball on this...

*~* Questions for our locals *~*

You can find Lincoln's schedule on their website; it will be a PPS/Portland Public Schools site. When I attended, there was bus service. I'd allow 20-30 minutes for that drive, for the traffic and slow roads, but that's a guesstimate.

*~* Questions for our locals *~*

How's that? Didn't he just re-tweet the LE message that had been put out that day? The plea for the case to not fall out of public view, and a repeated call for tips. Believe me, I'm as irritated with Adams as just about anyone, but the tweeting & social messaging is a big part of his office...

*~* Questions for our locals *~*

I don't, because it just doesn't fit. If you look at the sat. photos of the school, you can see that the property is first surrounded by farm fields, which are backed by forest. None of the roads immediatly there, or on his way home, are pedestrian friendly *in the least*. freefallzzz...

There is a map linked in my sig that will show you where all the landmarks are. There is nothing within walking distance of the school, and all those services are actually quite far.

    Neighbor and eyewitness Jim Kelley

Yes, but all that aside.. I agree with James Kelley... it's beyond strange for an unknown vehicle to be down his road once in a day, let alone twice in the day that a boy disappeared from the area and one of those times at 2am. Who was it and what were they doing?

The White Ford 250 Pick Up Truck Towed from the Family Home

I suppose it's not that far, just that it seemed like 'more truck' than practical for what they do? It's just my impression, my opinion, that it's not a suitable daily driver. But, I'm not married to that. :)
