So when purchasing weights he probably would have foreseen the purchase being detected by police. Being a policeman himself.
If it is a deliberate red herring, like some are fearing - then I am worried he wants to become a "MH370 pilot" style celebrity.
Hope I am wrong, because this would be...
One at a time, probably wrapped in sheets, and potentially in privacy because the van might of been behind the roller door. There are windows overlooking the backyard but he'd still be unlucky for people to notice.

From a Newz Corpse article:
It's starting to bug me not knowing the details around the living arrangements at that townhouse ... and more specifically how the killer seemingly had to know windows of opportunity.
It seems way more pre-meditated to me, rather than a spur of the moment...
Well, no. But it's also complicated. NSW police have been brimming with questionable attitudes is the 70s and 80s, and sometimes brutish masculinity is linked to internalised homophobia and even self-denial.
Though I think this gentleman is more a narcissist, who even though he didn't come out...
Nice of him to turn up with his handcuffs on
But seriously, I always thought people walked in the front door and talked to the uniformed officers at the desk ..... but this looks like a garage, and the fact he is met by suits might mean he phoned ahead or something?
Wow if the van in Newy is the van in question, then he certainly has travelled a lot.
No idea why he would so clumsily commit this crime, hand himself in, and then not cooperate.
I'm no expert, but he seemed more like the annoying type who stalked celebrities for selfies, even if it's just them in the background.
The man has certain vibes, that's for sure.
Turned himself in doesn't necessarily mean arrested?
He could have just woken up, seen the news and decided to present himself. Cronulla and Bondi aren't close.
But let's see..
Right - the garden area opposite looks a little similar (remembering the google maps images are 3 years old) ... but that means they are walking away from the terrace?
The 7 news voice over says "they wander towards the back of the terrace" ... so they were "wandering" away in the video...
Just trying to work out what corner street this image is of?
Was expecting the corner of Cooper St and Brown St, or Cooper and Cooper lane.... but they don't seem to match the surrounding.
The google maps Street View images are from Sept 2020
Unfortunately I cannot see a single security camera on Cooper Lane
But if they turned right on Cooper St, there's one here ... as an example... but I'm sure there'd be more, especially 3 years later after the Street View images were taken
Was wondering the same thing
Looking at this Domain floor plan, it looks like there's a tiled outdoor section but no actual boxed garage... but not 100% sure.
I *think* this is it:

Sometimes hard to align yourself in street view....
Sadly... it looks like a killer would have plenty of privacy and time to put things into a car and simply drive away, seeing as the garage is attached and the exit is out the back laneway. But let's hope they walked into the car themselves.
When the police gave an update they mentioned the exact address (is that normal?).

I've lived in a very similar town house in a neighbouring suburb.
The laneways out the back can be quiet, mostly with backyards...
My hope is after a confrontation they changed clothes themselves. Maybe under duress. But maybe they needed to be presentable so as not to be noticed?
If they have CCTV of them entering the building then surely the police would know more about a third person, or how they would of exited the...
