Who knows why some criminals embrace Religion. This reminds me of the following joke by Emo Phillips.
"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realized that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me."
He won't give it up.
"“I set about to hide everything I could. I tried to hide the truck, I tried to cover up all the evidence that I could cover up and in doing that, what I didn’t take into account — "
He initially hid the Truck in the Hanger where he asked others to assist in converting it...
"Forestell will hear sentencing submissions from the Crown and the defence on Friday. It's expected that she will then reserve her decision until a later date."
I am going to make some likely assumptions.
The handgun is a restricted (this one may be prohibited) weapon and requires proper authorization to transport the weapon. The fact that Theresa sold it to LaRocca in itself is not an indicator of it being an illegal transfer. But LaRocca selling it...
Millard has only one last wish that can still happen, he wants to father a child. I hope his wish is never granted. I don't think "Kinks" is lining up to make a trailer visit.
Exactly! But when a "responsible" gun owner, or in this case someone with access to a responsible gun owner's guns acts irresponsibly, we need to make them accountable.
When there is very little legal consequences for acting irresponsible with the law, it tends to happen with folks that would...
And this type of practice is the source of many issues related to guns used in crimes IMO. The GF sells guns without following a proper process, and will most likely not be penalized for doing so. As long as Canada continues to just dish hand slaps for activity that is a catalyst for delivering...
When my father's cousin passed way without a will, he and his brothers were the beneficiary of his estate. They were the only living relatives in Canada.
From the CBC link.
"Not a single witness came before this court and suggested there was any discord between Mr. Millard and his father," said his lawyer, Ravin Pillay. "There is nothing in the record before you that supports this one way or another."
In isolation that would be a valid defense...
And I believe the motive is what DM wrote in texts.
Freedom from Social Norms. He wanted complete control so that he could steal $100,000 per month to finance his "Invention" phase. Inventions made the Millard family wealthy. It was his way to justify his total disregard for an honest days...
And why would he get rid of it? He was not charged for a couple of years. Heck, they kept LB's stuff also, and only moved the truck when DM detected "Stormy Weather".
"Pillay says Millard never intended for this to happen, or Millard would have made an attempt to "sanitize" this weapon.
by Adam Carter 2:51 PM"
UH!? He left his DNA everywhere he committed a crime. He even hid TB's truck at his mom's loaded with DNA if CN hadn't done a soap and water mission. MOO
"According to the court documents, one of the phones allegedly belonging to Millard calls A1 Oakville Taxi just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 29, while near Smich's home. That same phone then later pings off a cellphone tower near his father's home in Etobicoke at 6:11 a.m."
"Well the paramedic didn't touch him either," the judge interjects. She has jumped in on Cameron's closing several times."
So many things wrong with this statement IMO.
