L.A. sheriff looks into 50 missing women

The woman on the right in #54 looks like #15. In addition to some duplicates that we have noticed, the police have probably mixed in some random pictures of women who are not linked to the serial killer's cases. They often do that to help separate bad tips from good.

Here's the link to her entry on the NCMA web site: http://www.theyaremissed.org/ncma/gallery/ncmaprofile_all.php?A200300591W

NM NM - Tara Calico, 19, Belen, 20 Sept 1988

The clearest version of the first photo I have found is on the NCMA web site here: http://www.theyaremissed.org/ncma/gallery/ncmaprofile_all.php?A200301684W I also have no doubt that the girl in the picture is Tara. I dug through about 20 pages of Google search results, but could not find...

FL FL - Tammy Leppert, 18, Cocoa Beach, 6 July 1983

You had mentioned possibly wanting to do a DNA test with the Lake Ponchartrain Jane Doe. Did you get to do that? Please let us know if you do. I hope you find your sister.

Identified! MA - Provincetown, Race Point, 'Lady in the Dunes' WhtFem 27-49, UP11840, Jul'74 - Ruth Marie Terry

I was just looking at the Doe Network, and wondering the same thing about Valarie Cuccia and The Lady in the Dunes. But I'm sure they had a good reason to rule out that match. I wonder how precise the age, height, and weight estimates are? Both Valarie and Amy Billig are slightly younger...

CA CA - Four missing, Los Angeles, 1996/97 (One apparently found)

I did e-mail the author of the article, and he said he hasn't followed the story since he wrote the original article. He also is surprised by the lack of press coverage of these four people. Of the three people that are still missing, Robert Black is listed on the Doe Network, but Richard...

CA CA - Michael Negrete, 18, Los Angeles, 10 Dec 1999

I remember when Michael Negrete disappeared. I was a student at UCLA when it happened. They had released a sketch of a possible witness, but as far as I know, they never found him, either. I don't understand why Michael Negrete is not on LAPD's missing persons web site. He should be!

CA CA - Four missing, Los Angeles, 1996/97 (One apparently found)

Yeah, it's pretty scary that all four of these people went to the same doctor, and disappeared on the way to or from an appointment. I wouldn't want to go to that doctor! The update on The Charley Project didn't even say if Goldie Swanger was found safe, probably because LAPD didn't release...

CA CA - Four missing, Los Angeles, 1996/97 (One apparently found)

In 1996 and 1997, the following four people in Los Angeles disappeared: Robert Black, Richard Davison, Patricia Laxer, and Goldie Swanger. At one point, all four were listed on the LAPD missing persons web site, and they can still be found on many other missing persons sites. These four...
