One of the videos Body found near East Bay trail believed to be of missing runner Philip Kreycik shows some helicopter footage or airplane footage of the area he was found. It looks like there were perhaps a pair of deep tire tracks or a pair of some sort of sunken trails side by side near the...
It looks pretty close but I have a hard time looking at the Strava terrain and mapping it to the EBRPD map just because they seem to use somewhat different contours. Also I do not have Strava as well but what you have done seems really close to where he was found. Can you check if the circle on...
Philip was found on landbank EBRPD property based on me looking at the maps. I believe that he was found on the Poole property that the EBRPD acquired in 1991 and has kept in landbank status since that time. The residence on the Poole property close to where Philip was found is a combination...

In this map, it looks like he was found about where the R and K are with the word water tank due west from Blessing Dr in EBRPD landbank property right over the hill from The...
The Blessing Dr that Chris and I were talking about is where the photo was taken that the SF Chronicle is showing on photo 2 of 5 that police have blocked off Missing runner case: Volunteer searcher finds body near trail, under tree
Here is the map...
I'm sorry to hear this. Very sad. I heard the news conference and was confused about him being found north of Moller Ranch. That would mean west of Blessing Dr and north near Dublin Canyon Road.
You were right though. He was in the park somewhere. The statement that 100% of the park where...
Press release from Pleasanton police department
http://admin.cityofpleasantonca.gov/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BlobID=35543
It says the body was found 1/4 mile from the intended route.
Erik Silacci in the press conference shown on KRON4 says it was found north of Moller Ranch.

True, but people on the peninsula and close to the bay sometimes don't pay attention because it rarely affects them. I didn't really pay attention to weather reports when I used to live in San Mateo County because the heatwaves rarely raised the temperature very much there. Then there is the...
Chris, also on the run Friday in Redwood Regional park, did Philip mention he knew about the excessive heat warning from the National Weather Service that EBRPD Police posted on its website on July 8 for the upcoming weekend? - Log In or Sign Up to View
Or did he mention seeing it on news...
Wow! I had no idea there were open wells in Pleasanton Ridge. Yikes! I hope the park district has covered up the open well.
I don't know how hazy it was that day on July 10th. Do you think it is anyway possible that Philip in a confused state might have seen I-680 from the top of the ridge...
You are right. I think that EBRPD made a mistake labeling it for some reason.
If Philip made it through the Mariposa trail, when he got to the North Ridge trail, do you think he would have turned north to try to get back to his car and try to complete the loop or do you think he would have...
I agree the Santos Ranch Rd way to bail out of there would have been the way out via a paved road. Plus there are a few houses there at the top next to the monster sized transmission towers.
What I was referring to about easy to figure out is their Fire and Public Safety access diagram to...
The text was from the CT document and said 12:35ish rather than 12:45. We assume it meant arriving in Stockton which is a reasonable assumption but the text question was "When are you leaving" right before that at 9:18 AM in the document followed by a considerable gap which could mean deleted...
It does not rain during the summer so compared to most places where it does rain, shoe prints can last a long time. I don't think that it is a 100% guarantee that those shoe prints are Kreycik's. Given Niederhaus's latest comment that the PPD is 100% sure that where Kreycik should and could have...
There are roads that lead to the top of Pleasanton Ridge as well as emergency access vehicle roads that lead there. It is fairly easy for someone to figure out where they are by looking at land use documents published by the EBRPD on Pleasanton Ridge and available on the internet.
Pleasanton PD probably responds quickly because through the years there have been a number of suicides near or in Pleasanton Ridge and not because of a specific threat of suicidal tendencies. Also because the temperature was so high that day, I suspect they also responded fast.

There are a number of high transmission towers at the top of Pleasanton Ridge near Santos Ranch Road. Some are very high and over 300 ft tall like this one Google Maps
and

If Philip had hypothetically been at the top...
Whoever drove Kreycik's car (Kreycik or someone else) could have left the neighborhood without being seen by the neighbors.
The reasons are:
There is only one house between the staging area and Foothill Rd and it faces Legendary Court, not Moller Ranch Dr. Only the side fence faces Moller...
