If his police file was destroyed, then how do they know he was cremated, or that he was never identified in the 30 years between burial and the start of this thread? The article linked early stating he was buried in may 1975 in Gretna, didn't mention cremation before burial.

diagnostic x-rays are standard whether or not work has been done. So if Jason Callahan ever went to a dentist...there should be x-rays. Teeth in good condition are likely the result of regular preventative treatment. Low hanging fruit IMO.

The wait for DNA results will take a few months. Could they positively ID in the meantime with dental records?
