    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

I hope the jury are clear that reasonable doubt doesn't mean any doubt. I never heard the judge explain that to them do they get given anything that does? I feel like the prosecution was able to surprise them in what they said and had a strong case. If it went to a retrial they'd lose that...

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

I hope the jury get both of these things, I'm feeling concerned!

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

Last week it seemed they wanted to understand murder vs manslaughter so I wondered if that where they are at. Now with wanting to know about circumstantial evidence in this way it makes me wonder if it's further back on whether he is guilty at all? :S I'm not really liking how the passage...

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

What happens if you're found innocent? Is there any compensation? Otherwise with the 2 years coming off the sentence if you're convicted it's like you've served 2 years even if you're innocent (which I don't believe he is in this case though).

    The Verdict Waiting Room

It is a little head spinning in the wording so maybe that's why the jury initially wanted a copy? I hope this wont confuse the jury into misinterpreting it and think the scratches can't really count the way they can. In having the luxury of being able to see it written I think he just...

    The Verdict Waiting Room

The other half says there looks a back way from Brookfield to Kholo Creek bridge bypassing Moggill Rd completely. It's a bush track but the Captiva is a 4wd right? It goes like Mill Rd then Centre Rd then Powerline Rd then wirrabara rd which joins Mt Crosby Rd just before the bridge. A way he...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

Being asthmatic can mean you get affected by environmental factors like dust, cold air, etc and other irritants like viruses and exercise can affect you more etc, but I don't see any way he could accidentally suffocate an asthmatic. It'd take a while to do as any other person. I don't see where...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

Had to reply to my own post after watching it again. I feel seriously sick. He knew she wasn't coming home. He knew she was dead. He did it. He didn't feel that bad about it at the time either from the looks of it or he could have used that emotion to seem more upset. I will be devastated if the...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

Did Gerard feel sad about what happened to Allison because he never wanted that to happen? You be the judge (an oldie but a goodie). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c76CI6vtixI

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

You sound very smart to have not done the poll straight away. I guess if one was done better to do it anonymously for the same reason you mentioned of people not wanting to seem to have changed their minds. I wonder if they are still deliberating because 1) they're still trying to agree...

Hey thanks heaps for creating the poll! Awesome. Very interesting.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

I think being suffocated where you're struggling for breath and the attacker knows they're robbing you of breath but keeps going would count as that level of harm. It'd be attempted murder if she'd lived, since she died it's murder. Those scratches on his face and body are not small or light...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

Oh so did it not happen or are they not meant to report it?

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

I hope it's just because of being unsure of the level of premeditation required for murder... Like the movies make it seem intent for murder is planned out quite in advance whereas in Australia it sounds to be if you knew you were causing harm even as you were causing it and not planned it...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

I cannot see any logical way for manslaughter. Either you think he killed her or you don't. If you think he killed her you believe she caused the scratches to his face which means it wasn't a sudden accidental death and at minimum he was intending to cause grievous bodily harm which lead to her...

Wasn't the interfering as a corpse charge referred to in the opening addresses??

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

Seems like a cheats way of trying to avoid going through all the evidence and statements and going for the short version. Both sides would want them to consider all the things they said not the cliff notes.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 10th July - Trial Day 18

You know I was thinking and in proposing what could have happened to Allison the defence would have come up with the best alternative scenario to murder they could think of to suggest to the jury. That the best they could come up with was so ridiculous makes me even moreso think he did it and...

Still catching up so apologies if this was answered on later pages but if they both had iPhones then yes they could have been using iMessage for texts which uses the Internet.
