I have to think that with massive volume of runaway teens and missing persons who are never found, it is still possible. I think disappearing and reinventing yourself with a new life, new SSN, career, etc is much harder but still not impossible. Identity theft is a HUGE criminal industry. SSN's...

Thank you! I knew I had seen it *SOMEWHERE*! I was searching the posts re: the backpack and did not remember it was mentioned previous to that post. Thanks again!

I still don't see the mention of Vance Creek Bridge but I can see it in my minds eye as being on FB and not here. Wondering if it was deleted by the family? There is another comment re: family doing a 15 mile river search by kayak...so...navigable rivers north of Shelton...there are more than...

I would guess that *if* it was found at or near Vance Creek Bridge Viaduct, it would have been in 1 of 4 places... 1) At the makeshift parking area where people park. Towing and ticketing is sometimes enforced but not often and there are people up there frequently. If he was on his way out...

Thanks! Yes, I am familiar with the bridge and area around it. It is private property and owned by...railroad or timber company (?) and very much *CLOSED*. And yet, people trespass and hike to it and foolishly walk out on it. The the area has a number of trails and I do think if they suspect...

He was dropped off on Viking Ave between Poulsbo & Silverdale. Viking Ave runs diagonal to Rt 3 and eventually runs directly adjacent and I think merges with it near Silverdale. IMO, Rt 3 would be the natural hitching route to get to Shelton.

The May 8th post from the Help Find Tyler FB page states, "Tyler was dropped off on Viking Ave. between Poulsbo and Silverdale. The gentleman said that Tyler was asking for directions to Shelton." https://www.facebook.com/groups/1724064874515029/permalink/1730417267213123/ It only supports your...

I agree that his last conversation with his sister is likely significant but I don't think that he would have to be very angry to have not somehow signaled to his family that he is safe. Teens brains don't work that way. It's not a matter of Tyler being more mature than other kids his age. Teen...

Just checking in here. I have been following along via the family's FB page and here. So much to say and yet I don't want to say anything. I have to agree largely with JanetElaine's post above. Somehow, I wish that the backpack were just a red herring but I don't think so. And I definitely think...

I am usually very optimistic (unrealistically so) but this just feels *off*. How many other cases have we seen where one person drops off their child to the other parent and is then never seen again? They so seldom end well. MCSO says Tricia's XH is cooperating - I so hope so for their...

The comments on the Help Find page continue to baffle me. Someone posted a possible sighting, fairly vaguem but certainly nothing to rule him, out and his sister immediately said she did not think it was him. Which makes me think they do know more - because if your loved one is missing and you...

Emancipation requires legal procedures and a court judgement. Minors must prove they can support themselves, etc. Parents have the right to contest the request. If LE knows where he is and fails to reveal that, they would have to have a pretty darn good reason why and even still, risk legal...

It's interesting that some articles say she dropped her daughter off late Tuesday night and others say early Wednesday morning. I hate to immediately jump to the usually obvious suspect of the XH. Could there be a discrepancy in the story of when baby was dropped off or is this chalked up to...

I won't discuss the rumor here but will say that for anyone following this case who has not yet checked out the Facebook page, it is really active and looks like they have a very well coordinated search effort going on. It's good to see activity.

I felt the same way. It still does not acknowledge if he left on his own or not. The SCSO said there was evidence that he made plans to leave. Their post, while a well-written capture of already known information, does not acknowledge that he *made plans to leave* nor explain what investigative...
