I wouldn't want to take that walk. I'd be very nervous. The area looks so isolated.

My kids won't use umbrellas. We only have 10 houses on our street compared to over 100 on the other streets. My kids were the only children in the neighborhood for years and there is a sex offender across from the bus stop and one diagonal to us. . I had to fight 3 years to get them to put a...

She could have walked in that weather but she appeared to be very concerned about her appearance which a lot are at her age and it's probably something she wouldn't want to do. I also included her missing the bus not just the weather. It may have been a half a mile to her bus stop but what...

I can't see her mom not caring about how she'd get to school in those situations. Was there a set person who would give her a ride? Perhaps an older schoolmate the mom okayed her riding with. Maybe a neighbor.

I'm curious as to what she did if she missed the bus or there was bad weather. How'd she get to school then?

The description of the man always wearing black struck me odd too. It sounded like the guy had the same clothes on every time he saw him. If it was a uniform or work related i don't think he would have focused so much on what he was wearing. Could he actually be wearing the same clothes because...

    ME ME - Ayla Reynolds, 20 mnths, Waterville, 17 December 2011 - # 9

I think Courtney is the weak link and if she wasn't directly involved i can see her trying to get back at him if they break up and telling everything she knows. The others won't crack. It's going to be hard to charge any one specific person when there were three there. It's not like other cases...

I think there's a good chance the person is involved. He's probably very vocal and seems interested in finding her. He's probably getting praised for his efforts in the search.

If those were the clothes she was wearing, then a military person could be involved, but i think they were an extra set of clothes. The missing shoes make me think that. It seems like everything she had with her was gotten rid of, so why not the shoes? Why put the clothes and shoes in different...

The handcuffs are out of place. Even if someone was using them for fun it seems unlikely to use them in a field. Never used them myself but aren't the people handcuffed to something like the bed? Where would they handcuff them to, the steering wheel? Doesn't sound like sexual fun. I'm not saying...

Lots of parents here take their children to school, some even follow the bus. There's nothing wrong with trying to ensure your children's safety. I do the same. I also have walked home young children who didn't have a parent at the bus stop waiting for them. I'm sure neighbors who were used to...

They never said they were embarrassed but i felt they were too old for me to stand at the bus stop with them, especially with my son who was 6' 3 by then.

My youngest is 13 and her bus stop is at our driveway. I always stand at the window and watch until her bus comes. When my older 2 were in high school, before they drove, the bus stop was next door and i would go outside and pretend i was doing something in the yard until the bus came so i...

It would seem that the area around her bus stop would have been one of the first areas searched and they were put there later. And if someone was playing a joke then they should know that it's been reported that her scent ended at the end of her driveway so why put them near her bus stop? This...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I wonder what new evidence LE got to give them this new theory.

New here. Great insights by all. My thoughts: I feel the clothes were packed because it was a Friday and she had plans to hang out with friends. If she had intentions of showering at the friend's home, then i'm sure she would want to put on fresh underclothes too and not the same ones she had...
