Lunch will be at 1p.m. for 1.5 hours. Dinner is more complicated, judge says. He usually asks the constable to poll the jury at about 6pm. The jury can keep working or pack it in. By 7pm he knows the answer, he says. Dungey would like a firmer schedule...

The judge will let the jury retire to consider these options. Jury members nod that these solutions are "responsive" to what they were looking for. They're going back to deliberations again. #LauraBabcock

Millard's was 4 hours, Dungey's was 2 hours, Cameron's was 2 hours, "so it would be an eight hour process for you to come in and listen to them." Judge doesn't want to hear why the jury wants the closings, but wants them to know their options. #LauraBabcock...

In the interim, Code reminds the jury that his 20-page heading "X" gives them a summary of the three closings. Otherwise they can come back into court and listen to the audio recordings of the three closings. #LauraBabcock

The jury at the Laura Babcock trial is now in the courtroom. Code says he's providing them an index to his 338-page charge, to help them navigate the sections.

As for their request to get a transcript of all three closing addresses, Code...

The #LauraBabcock jury will be given options for the closing arguments they asked for. If they want to listen to them, it will take 8 hours (Millard 4, Dungey 2, Cameron 2 hrs) or they can wait until tomorrow noon when transcriptions can be available...
This is spot on, IMO. I don't know why people try to tie DM and MS to one particular motive, and either argue against it or for it. They both had different motives, and those motives could easily change/evolve with their needs, moods, whims. Motive is very hard to pin down because humans are...
Also redacted was a text Millard sent Jan. 18, 2013 to a cousin inquiring about what he’d been up to. “Smuggling drugs killing hookers,” was his reply. Babcock had been working as an escort before she went missing.

If they’d looked into Millard, they would have discovered that despite his privileged upbringing as the wealthy heir to a Canadian aviation dynasty, he had a history of running afoul of the law. In 2010, it ranged from the petty — he and Smich hurling a pumpkin from a moving car on a...

“I’m down to merk (murder) people if it’s a big enough payoff”
— Dellen Millard in a text kept from the jury.
There was evidence of 16 prior "missions" carried out by the two men and their motley crew of hangers-on.
From May 2010 to January 2013, there was a spree of theft, mischief, arson, drug trafficking, robbery, among others — and the Crown wanted it all before the jury.
Proof, the...
Still makes no sense that he would feel the need to hide Laura from MS, then an hour later bring MS all in, whether she was deceased at that point or not. MOO
But then why not say "we should get US a dog", or "we should get YOU a dog"? Obviously DM knows that MS knows he has Pedo, so it would have been clear what MS meant. IMO this was discussed at "the titty bar" and they were both clear on what the plan was.
