I wonder how BK was affected by the rapid change from entirely online Masters degree, done during COVID in (presumably) his parent's house, to an in-person program on the opposite side of the country. Probably made the things he was learning feel a lot more real.

re: BK's Survey... hate to be that person, but if not for the circumstances I think (in covid times) it makes for a pretty "normal" research method for one working towards a master's in criminal justice / criminology. It is creepy, and the questions are ominous given the circumstances, but...

I also wonder if perhaps BK knew the downstairs roommates were there, but wanted to leave them alive downstairs unknowing as some sort of sick test of his skills to commit murder undetected?

JMO... I can imagine a situation wherein BK compulsively and repeatedly drove around Greek Row/other areas of Moscow and Pullman, fantasizing about committing the "perfect crime." He begins to notice frequent parties at the King St. house, and maybe begins watching the tenants partying in the...

JMO, but I think it would be difficult for the two not to have at least some 2-3 degree of separation connection. I.e. Kaylee had a friend that went to WSU that was an undergrad in one of the classes BK TA'd for, or a similar situation

I wonder if the police could tell from the cameras that the Elantra had out of state plates, even if they couldn't determine the number? Further, I wonder if BK's elantra had PA plates?

I am the same age as BK, and grew up in a neighboring state in a similar semirural environment. Kids were definitely doing heroin, especially towards the end of high school. Also spice, so I think that could be likely. Unfortunately many of my classmates passed away from overdoses in the year...

I wonder if he had been using other drugs, like meth, since moving to Washington? It could create delusions, violent activity, and exacerbate any compulsive behaviors. I've read that "Heroin" is quite difficult to come by nowadays with the influx of fentanyl, and that a lot of addicts are...

I wonder if BK fled to PA recently or before classes ended? The WSU calendar indicates that the last day of classes was December 9, with final starting the 12th and ending the 16th. I imagine any classes he was TA-ing would have noticed an absence up until the end of finals. Source

An idea about possible connection. Not what I think happened, but brainstorming. Maybe he saw one of the girls (Kaylee, as I think she was the only single one?) on a dating app, which usually links to instagram or other socials, and found them that way?

BK also graduated from DeSales University (in PA) with a masters in Criminal Justice earlier this year. Recently moved to WSU for his PHD it seems. Source (Page 3)
